Best Western Royal Hotel  

Nice room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, good pub next door, shops down the road, small car park.

Bath and shower were difficult to use.

Room was excellent and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly

Had meal in bar first evening unedible piece of steak. Waiter did offer another one but declined as one of us had alreay finished meal by then.This put us off eating in the restaurant so ate out elsewhere as there were pleanty of restaurants to choose from. Breakfast was fine . Would have liked a lounge to sit of an evening rather than just room or bar.Parking could be an issue as not many spaces but we were fortunate although next time would probably choose another hotel with ample parking so we could come and go without any worries.

The hotel is too dated, dark and heavy. The bar is not attractive to sit in and lacks atmosphere or character. There is no open reception area for customers to sit and relax for a while. The seats are either in a corner or hidden away. We had a disaster with our room. The first room we had was a very nice bright and large room. However, it was on the main street and far too noisy with the window open because of the traffic and building works.We were moved into a very small dark, dank room which was just too unpleasant although it was quiet. The bathroom was tiny and old, the room was depressing. We were moved again into another room which was quiet, slightly brighter but not pleasant. We felt that the rooms were not worth £100. I feel you need to brighten up this hotel without losing it's purpose, and your descriptions needs to be reviewed.

We have stayed at Best Western Hotels in the past but the Royal by far is the best one. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we were upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise! The hotel was well cared for and particularly the nice gardens and flowers in reception makes all the difference.

Friendly staff and good food.

Wifi did not work in our room despite repeated daily attempts and reporting it to Reception. Noise from outside the hotel late at night and into the early hours of the morning (I.E. people shouting) kept us awake most nights.

The staff at reception and in the restaurant/bar were excellent, friendly and efficient at all times. The standard and choice of food at breakfast and in the bar was very good. An unexpected upgrade to a large, comfortable suite with its own sun terrace was a fantastic bonus which really made our break in St Helier very special. Many thanks to all at the Royal!!!

On accède depuis l'hôtel très aisément aux parties les plus animées du centre ville .l’hôtel est doté d'un parking ce qui est très appréciable étant donné les difficultés de stationnement dans le centre

Le confort correspond de justesse à un deux étoiles en France la chambre est petite, la salle de bain est désuète, très petite dépourvue de place où ranger ses affaires, le lavabo avec un robinet d'eau chaude et un robinet d'eau froide est une curiosité jersiaise, une porte fenêtre fermait mal. L'ensemble donne le sentiment que l'hotel assuré d'avoir une clientèle de passage faisant de court séjours se donne peu d'effort pour simplement se maintenir dans les critères de l'hotellerie moderne
