Best Western The Cromwell110-112 Cromwell Road, Kensington, SW7 4ES London (Show map) Good, Score from 123 reviews“Staff were excellent and the hotel room was stylish and comfortable. They have free wifi and aircon and mine was much more spacious than the sort of room you usually get in London in this price range. I've stayed in several hotels in the area and this is by far the best value for money.”

Good location, clean I had no idea when I booked that I would get a basement room with no natural light. The room was clean, warm and well equipped but I was disappointed that when I booked there was no indication that the room had no natural light. I was told I should have requested it as a preference but I stupidly thought a window, like a bed or toilet was a basic component of an en-suite room. You should make this crystal clear when people are booking that they need to request natural light as a 'preference'.

Very good location in South Kensington and staff is very helfpul Check-out at 11.00am, and you're over-charged gbp 25.00 for every hour you stay beyond that time. That is absolutely ridiculous! Also, tooms waaaaay too small - you cant fit your bag in the room. Definetely not recommended for couples - only ok if you're travelling solo.

The location was great. The room was very comfortable. The room was small, but not more than I expected for the location. Breakfast was not included.

The location was ideal for my reason's in London, the staff was very helpful, and friendly, and the room was clean. My only dislike about the hotel was the room, it was small and cramped, and didn't warrant the price.

It's very central. I am afraid I was very disappointed. The location was central but for the price of the hotel there were a lot basic amenities missing. There is not tea and coffee making in the rooms and the breakfast is very basic and uninteresting for for £9.95. No mobile signal in my room. And unbelievably no remote control for the televison and when I asked I was told there were not enough in the hotel. I must say I am not sure that I would use best western again and I certainly wouldn't recommend them. It really was liittle more that an upmarket hostel and I would query the 3 stars

Loved the location as its right in the central part of London and in the elegant Kensignton area. I was asked to settle my bill upon arrival! Needed to borrow an electrical gadget to charge my phone and was asked to buy a product I needed for only half an hour!

We tend not to use any additional facilities of a hotel as all we require is somewhere comfortable and convenient to sleep at a reasonable price. For us, The Best Western The Cromwell was perfect on all three counts. The only contact with the staff was on arrival and checkout – courteous, polite and extremely helpful - what more can I say. Thanks I knew from reading other reviews that the english breakfast did not include bacon or normal sausages therefore we did not consider going to breakfast in the hotel. The plus side to this was that because the hotel enjoys a good location, we found a local cafe to have breakfast that was full of character and good food at a good price!

The location We paid £358 to stay in a basement room that looked onto a set of step that led up to the pavement. The room was modern but so small. I chose this hotel because of the locality at the description on your website but was disappointed.

My room was completely refurbished and had brand new furniture. A bit small, that's common in London, but with all the necessary equipment, flat screen tv, electronic safe, and a sizeable bathroom. Very comfortable and clean. Excellent insulation from the noise of Cromwell Road, very quiet although being a front room. Wi-fi (free) working everywhere in hotel, including room. English breakfast ok, service good and fast. Courteous staff. Very convenient location, within walking distance from Kensigton museums, 100 m from Underground station and with a bus stop just in front. Shops and supermarkets are near the hotel and some nice restaurants also (btw try the Indian restaurant on Cromwell Road not far from the hotel, they have one of the best Tandoori around). Good value for money, will be my first choice when returning to London. A possible improvement: offer international tv channels (E.G. the Sky international news ones) on the beautiful flat screens of the rooms, British tv is so boring... But that's not so important, you don't go to London to watch tv, and you can always look at home news on the Internet, as I did.

Location. Quality of room very high for London Breakfast too dear at £9+ per person for "continental" £12+ per person, for "English". We ate just over the road at Garfunkels. Two decent breakfasts for £7.95. But then that's London! Central London hotels get away with it because they're pretty much all the same with regard to breakfasts. Excessively dear breakfasts. You don't have to move far out of the centre to get better deals, but then you have to travel in. Frankly its what spoils what would otherwise be a perfect stay.

The room was way too small, and somehow they managed to put all the pipings to the whole hotel through the walls of my hotel room. The noise kept me up all night.

Very kind staff including enabling an early check-in. Free wifi, nice and clean bathroom with decent hot water capability. Good AirCo. Great location, only 2min from Gloucester Road Subway station. I did not had breakfast, so I cant say anything about this. As usual in London extremly tiny rooms. For me alone the double room was just at the limit, with 2 persons, actually I cant imagine how this would work with acceptable comfort beside sleeping only for more than one night. Room was very hot even at moderate weather outside, but AirCo did their job, but constant ventilation is quite noisy.
