Best Western The Cromwell110-112 Cromwell Road, Kensington and Chelsea, London, SW7 4ES (Show map)
Good,
Score from 214 reviews
“ We loved the large deck that overlooked the garden. It gave some much-needed space to our quarters. The hotel was very well-located in the museum district. There was a supermarket across the road, and it was very close to the Gloucester Road tube station. ”

Small but comfortable room (especially the bathroom with its huge shower) and very good position, only few meters from Gloucester Road station, in the nice area of Kensington & Chelsea. If you really want to find something negative... No fridge in the room.

It was ideally located and close to transport. The staff were excellent and friendly. The room was very small and not as nice as the image on the website.

Located just around the corner from Gloucester Rd tube station and within walking distance to Kensington Palace, V&A museum natural history museum. Safe and upmarket part of London. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the boys on duty at night. Ample breakfast and nice room, our twin room was perfectly adequate in size. Booking.com went out of their way to match a competitors price, which meant we got the room at a bargain price, they really do stand by their price guarantee. Would have liked a fridge in the room for our early morning coffee however staff were very obliging in storing our milk in their fridge downstairs

Location is fantastic (very close to tube station and bus stop) and a couple of the staff including Eric the breakfast chef. I'm a seasoned traveller and their check in process was one of the friendliest I've experienced. Unfortunately, it all goes downhill afterwards, and the same oh-so- smiley staff transform into harpies... Once they've got your money. An Asian housekeeping lady was so annoyed the day I told her to come back in 30mins - she looked like she could have slapped me. Loool. Some of the staff are not yet well trained, so prepare to receive 3 versions of (conflicting) information before whatever issue you have enquired about is referred to the hotel manager, Andre, who must have the WORST attitude I've ever come across for someone in hospitality. My room (towards the back of the hotel) got me zero reception on my phone. On my first day, house-keeping didn't make up my room, and my bath had a drainage issue, which they did not fix till the next morning, so I got back at 11pm and was unable to shower. I was late for my meeting the next morning because I had to wait for them to fix it before I could shower. Next day, I was told I couldn't drink water from the water dispenser in the breakfast room outside breakfast hours. I had assumed you could (as breakfast and presumably, water, was included in my room rate) and got told off! Note - this is after paying for over a week.

The room was absolutely tiny - I think I must have had a bad one though as colleagues stay here frequently.

very close to the underground station -and the picadilly line (direct line to Heathrow). And close to the tour buses around really very helpful. and I loved the gymn facilities (could however be available before 7:00AM...). If the weather had been nicer and warmer, I would probably have profited from the fact taht the hotel is so close to Hyde Park. The room was quiet at night despite that fact that it was facing the main road. Not much...

Reception staff were very welcoming - pleasant, helpful and courteous. Check in and out was quick and efficient. Clean, compact rooms were great for short stay. Good shower too. We had a ground floor garden room and although we didn't use the outside space much (February) we still appreciated it - would be great in summer.

Great location near the Tube station , museums etc....near our daughter school and dorm1 Very friendly staff, elevator to the room. Coffee/the making facilities. Absolutely NO internet service during our four day stay!...or extremely slow, which was a real problem to communicate w/family, check our mail etc....No heat in the room for two days...had to bring a small radiator! No amenities in bathroom (individual shampoo and conditioning bottles) Very thin and small bath towers. Poor bedside lighting. We had an executive double room, so a bit larger than standard, so the size was adequate. No duvet comforters on the beds. this hotel needs a lot of updating!....and a decent internet connection!
