Attended a wedding and was part of the bridal party. The staff could not do enough and the wedding was fantastic. I had to contact the duty manager in the early hours of the morning and they responded very quickly which was impressive. The hotel staff generally good although some of the staff in the bar could have been more cheerful. On the whole the hotel was very good.
Easy check in. Parking ok
Smelt a bit musty throughout the hotel. Overpriced bar and difficult to find, in the middle of nowhere really. Room was average and wifi was annoying in that you had to keep logging in every 5mins
shower wasnt working service in bar was poor
clean, comfortable and generally a nice place to stay...... Food routinely good from a decent menu, comfortable if your staying away from home for a while
The bar staff can be up themselves sometimes, depending on what mood they choose for the evening, which is irritating, but big John always pleasant enough.
I was able to check in early , staff were very helpful . Although I spent most of my time at the roller hockey rink I enjoyed the time I did have . Room was lovely , clean and had everything I needed for a relaxing nights sleep. The breakfast was superb and the service from the staff was excellent . Highly recommended and would most definitely stay here again.
There is nothing that I didn't like !!!
The staff were excellent so welcoming and professional with service, nothing was too much trouble. We were made lunch in the spa facility, great value and fresh. Pool and spa very clean and comprehensive, Breakfast buffet all you can eat from a cracking spread of local produced food. Free parking. Arranged a local taxi which arrived on the minute of booking time. Cheers you guys say thank you to all your staff.
Arrived at 14:00 early too late for a lunch in the bar. see like note
Have stayed here frequently over the last 10 years. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.
To much Pringle knitwear on display
Diner and Breakfast were excellent. Nice to see somewhere serving food as late as 10pm.
I found the bed very hard.
Beer was a bit expensive but bar food specials are good value and excellent quality (specials sometimes include a free pint)
Attention by the hotel staff
For business trip the location is not so comfortable
Food, Staff & were excellent would certainly come again &, If you need a friendly clean hotel where you can get a good nights sleep & eat good food at a reasonable price come here.
The staff were brilliant very helpful and very friendly.
Consistent good standard on all fronts
the friendly & Helpfulness of staff. food very good.
We were unfortunate to experience a very large group that totally surrounded us while we were eating in the bar area so we landed up having to move. I think they should of had a separate room.
Receptionist was very helpful and informative on day 1 and 2. Hotel was very close to the venue I had to attend.
Walls paper thin so all noises was heard very clearly from joining rooms. Clacking doors until very late.
Everything. Staff were amazing. Food was amazing. Facilities amazing. All this AND there was a wedding party on at the same time in a different part of the building - we were almost unaware of this!
Reception staff very friendly
Bar staff less friendly
Comfortable bed in a fair sized room with coffee and tea making facilities. Complimentary water was most welcome.
No air conditioning in a ground floor room. Windows could not be locked in an open position.
While process was really good. Staff friendly and helpful bed super comfy and large and clean rooms. Will recommend and maybe see you again soon!!
One of the bar staff seemed very inexperienced and came across as didn't know what she was doing and was just standing around waiting for someone else to sort out issues with the syrup for the soft drinks being out. I think her name was leighanne. She might need further training or even a bit of a kick. Maybe she could wait for the syrup to be changed before trying 20 times to see if it had been changed. Eventually after about 10mins, she wento to find out but during that time i was waiting to be served and with 2 staff behind the bar it doesnt take 2 people to complete 1 order of 5 drinks. As a customer and previous Team Leader for bar work I would be appalled if any of my staff acted like she did.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful The room was very spacious
Breakfast service - staff weren't very attentive You could hear every noise from other rooms/corridor noise
Some staff (2) parked their boy racer cars in two bays, very inconsiderate since there are not thousands of parking spaces.
We received a warm welcome and the meal we had that evening was superb.
Limited choice of meals for vegetarian on room service. However, kitchen staff were accommodating and I had egg salad and cheese and crackers for 3 days.
The Leisure Centre was excellent with a good pool and hot whirlpool tub. The breakfast was good and substantial.
A Superior Double Room should really have had a garden view.
Can't fault this hotel
