Cleanliness was good, location was good Poorly trained staff - they tried to tell me I had been upgraded free to a club room when I had already paid for this on booking. The upgraded room was smaller than a standard room I had stayed in previously.Free parking was included in this as well but the staff didn't know this until I produced the booking confirmation. A free beverage was presented to us at the reception, which meant that we had to juggle this with our cases up to the room - good idea, bad execution, very messy and the porter didn't even offer to help. All rooms keys were unavailable until 7:30pm due to a systems failure, so staff had to escort us in each time. A temporary key then failed the next morning.

Mostyn Hotel is a gem. For the price, you get an amazing location just off the Central Line with plenty of access to shopping, pubs, Hyde Park, and via the Underground all of London. The staff truly go out of their way to accomodate, and the rooms are impressively modern & comfortable. I've stayed with them twice, and when I take my wife to visit London, I'll book the Mostyn without hesitation. As a business traveller, their wifi is spotty. This seems typical of London hotels though. They will re-accomodate you if possible, but it is hard to even have an audio Skype session with a good connection. I've left my critique with them on this point and hope that they will improve.

The location was great, a street away from Oxford street, the room was clean, the bathroom especially, and the staff was friendly. There was a problem with the heating, it was very loud during the night, and there was a problem with electricity, the TV kept going off and on without any reason. The room was too small and uncomfortable for the price we payed. The breakfast was a mess, we didn't book it with the room, so we went one day to try it out and pay for it separately, and it was shameless to charge that amount of money for burnt toast and only two kinds of pastry. Don't take the breakfast in the hotel because it was 40 pounds for me and my husband, go to the nearest Pret-a-manger and get great sandwiches and teas and coffee for 10 pounds/two persons.

The location: next to Oxford Street and Hyde Park. The hotel staff is very friendly. The rooms are very nice and comfortable compared to other hotels I stayed in London. The breakfast was the only negative aspect of the hotel. It's expensive and the choice is limited. There are many nice places in the neighborhood to have a nicer, cheaper breakfast.

The location was close to the hotel where my German friend was staying. I found it odd that when I took the lift to the second floor that were still more steps to take to get to my Room 205.

I booked this hotel as it was rated the best for my budget but I would love to add that this hotel more than exceeded my expectations. It was our engagement weekend and all requests were met for a romantic city break. Location was A* and i will be certain to use this hotel again, it was convenient in every way.

Its ideal location and cleanliness. Too small rooms (strict minimum space in the room and bathroom), lack of customer care awareness and flexibility of its management.

Perfect combination of quality service and price. Various installed usb/euro socket/video-audio connections in the room. Breakfast not tested. In the beginning the air in the room was overheated and dry, needed to adjust thru the lobby.

The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel decor was lovely, and everything was clean. The location is great for a touristic visit to London especially for shopping on Oxford street. The rooms are quite small especially compared to the amount of furniture squeezed in them, but if your looking for a place to put your bags and rest your feet while your out visiting London then this is fine.

I appreciated the fruit and water in the room which is a welcoming touch, room is comfortable enough. Choices on breakfast menu were varied, and my choice was enjoyable. Good value for money. Room was quite noisy, shower was more a dribble than a power shower! Will come back, but will move up a category to hopefully have a quieter room

The rooms had been recently renovated, and were immaculate and modern. For a central London location we were delighted, and would definitely go back again for both business or pleasure. The location was central (by marble Arch) but very quiet. The receptionist who checked us in spoke little English and took far too long.

“Perfect location for shopping and sightseeing. Room was very pleasant at 8th floor, calm and light. Comfortable beds, clean floor carpet and good space. Nice, clean bathroom. Elegant reception area with sofa groups. Enjoyed the breakfast and a good dinner meal at the hotel in the evenings. All hotel staff members we met were professional and very friendly. Thistle Marble Arch a natural choice next time visiting London.” Liv, Hommersåk |
