The location is very good for: 1) shopping in Oxford street 2) tube station is near as well as 3) bus stand for city tour. 4) Nice pub is in 30 meters distance. 1)No slippers, 2)drinking water declared as complimentary, but it is free of caharge for 1-st night only! 3)No bathrobes,4) no opportunity to use the amount blocked diring check in for "open credit" use for reservations made by consierge ( to charge the tickets price to the room)... all of above is available in BW hotel in Paris (visited jul 2011). Bath hot water limit is 37 C only!

Mostyn Hotel is a gem. For the price, you get an amazing location just off the Central Line with plenty of access to shopping, pubs, Hyde Park, and via the Underground all of London. The staff truly go out of their way to accomodate, and the rooms are impressively modern & comfortable. I've stayed with them twice, and when I take my wife to visit London, I'll book the Mostyn without hesitation. As a business traveller, their wifi is spotty. This seems typical of London hotels though. They will re-accomodate you if possible, but it is hard to even have an audio Skype session with a good connection. I've left my critique with them on this point and hope that they will improve.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom immaculate. The reception staff were efficient and friendly. The location was perfect for shopping and sight-seeing. Surprisingly quiet despite only being a minutes walk from Oxford Street.

Cleanliness was good, location was good Poorly trained staff - they tried to tell me I had been upgraded free to a club room when I had already paid for this on booking. The upgraded room was smaller than a standard room I had stayed in previously.Free parking was included in this as well but the staff didn't know this until I produced the booking confirmation. A free beverage was presented to us at the reception, which meant that we had to juggle this with our cases up to the room - good idea, bad execution, very messy and the porter didn't even offer to help. All rooms keys were unavailable until 7:30pm due to a systems failure, so staff had to escort us in each time. A temporary key then failed the next morning.

Staff didnt know much about our booking through booking.com so had to ask for everything that we were entitled to through the club deal, breakfast was a bit manic on the last day, not enough staff on

The only thing I could fault it for was it was very noisy early in the mornings and I was woken every morning by the cleaning ladies talking very loudly and doors banging. I think we were unlucky with where our room was situated but I must say it was fabulous.

Very close to Oxford Street! We arrived at the hotel at 2.15pm (we were told we could check in after 2pm) after waiting a good 10 mins to be checked in we were. The staff were very busy and possibly low on members. Our room wasn't ready - it hadn't been cleaned at all. We waited a further 10 mins or so to tell a member of staff, waited a while longer and then was told the room was ready. When we got there it was being hoovered! Once it was hoovered we started to get ready and a man (staff I think) walked in.....and promptly walked back out again!! Short staffed and little communication. The noise from outside the hotel woke me at 4am too! It's right on a main road.

The location is just super yet it was not too noisy although the hotel is a minute away from Oxford circus, a shopping street. All staffs are very kind and friendly and they handle things promptly if I asked something. I could hear some TV noise or so from next room sometimes.

Location was great, close to metro stations and oxford street. Value for money isnt great. Besides the great location, there's nothing special about the hotel, rooms are small, staff isnt that nice, nothing that justifies the price.

Good location. The rooms are nice and clean. Beds are comfortable. Check-inn early, and they are quite flexible on the day of departure when to leave the room. You can have your bags being looked after when you want to spend some time in the city of the day of departure The breakfast is not at all value for money. They even collected the milk from the tables, and put it back into the jug for general use. I thought that was unbelievable for a 4 star hotel (for any hotel I would say)

All the staff without exception were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Our bedroom was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, with a King size double bed, nice bathroom, and everything you could possibly need for your stay. The location is perfect, right behing Marble Arch with all the shops, also near Hyde Park, and Edgware Road with all it's wonderful restaurants. Exceptional value. We couldn't find fault with anything.

Excellent location, a whole range of amenities, renovated, modern interior. Coffee machine, hair dryer, iron, free internet in the room, magnetic card key available. Comfortable bed, many pillows. Modern bathroom. Everything well functional. Many informative, useful magazines. For those interested: a copy of the Bhagavan Gita also available... The single-room itself: small. A 4*+ hotel The single-room is small but that's fine, compared to the many good things.
