From the moment of arrival to departure the staff were excellent. A good breakfast sets you up for the day and the view of the boardwalk and proximity to the town and parks and museum gardens was great! The 20 minute walk to the Gun Wharf shopping/eating centre!

our 4th visit , wonderful sea views from our room . Lovely helpful staff, have already recommended friends who have been to stay and loved it. We will be back. Good position for Dockyard ,etc. As I hate enclosed spaces I found the ensuite very small,

Lovely hotel with fabulous views over the coast. Rooms clean and spacious. Good breakfast. Although the staff were very 'sweet', they were extremely young and not trained. This meant waiting a long time to be served. Food was unacceptable. Restaurant menu needs major attention.

Fluffy white towels Room was pokey and very dated. Not great value for money Although I had stated one veggie breakfast on booking nothing was ready. Corners of floor in bathroom dirty and shower curtain mouldy. Duvet was matted and well past it's best

It was great and so relaxing - so much room and a bath as well as a shower. We hope to come again in December so if there are any 2/3 day offers we would be pleased to hear from you.

The service, particularly the late night bar and food, was first class. Gluten free bread was produced in a trice. The reception were most helpful in plotting our car parking in the Old Town. There was no where to put down ANYTHING in the bathroom. Another shelf is ESSENTIAL. This was otherwise correctly described a special room. This small design defect let it down. There was no knob on the end of the bathroom over-mirror light-pull.

Loved the situation of the hotel. My room overlooked the sea front and it was lovely to wake up to the view. The staff in the restaurant were so friendly and helpful as were the reception staff and it really was a pleasure to stay and eat there over the weekend. Absolutely nothing - loved every moment of my stay!!!!

We liked our room although it was quite cold. The staff were very helpful. Dinining room staff were smartly dressed and attentive. The breakfast offered is excellent Since staying at the hotel in 2011 the dining room experience has changed, we missed sitting in the dininig room dinner, instead of the grill menu.

Location, staff, breakfast. Curtains did not fit the windows and the light that lights the building up lit our room up and disturbed our sleep.

The television was situated in such a position on the wall in a narrow space that it was almost impossible to avoid banging your head/body on it.

What I didn't like was the fact that this hotel was misrepresented by Booking.com! There is no Champagne Bar and no happy hour. As we were meeting friends who live locally and celebrating, this was one of the deciding factors in choosing this hotel!!! We had to change venues which was inconvenient
