The lovely lady manning the bar valiantly upto 11pm - nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was a great size with a good view, although the ensuite was tiny. Only a shower in the ensuite and very noisy extractor fan! A bath would have been nice, however we appreciate that as the ensuite was minute, a shower was the only option and it was as spacious a shower cubicle as one could get in a very small space. |

The location of the hotel was very good, accessible to shops and restaurants and with plenty of buses available into the centre of Bristol. |

In a pretty spot, right by the wonderful Clifton village yet still lovely and quiet It seemed quite pricey for not many facilities and did not have much atmosphere. |

Staff friendliness, handiness for Bristol centre shops and places of interest The awful noise from the night club opposite. People outside shouting and screaming until gone 3.00 am both nights of our stay. |

The spaciousness of the room and its easy access to restaurants etc. The room was well equipped and by hotel standards the bed was very comfortable, plus it was a super king size - very unusual and very welcome. Despite the minor criticisms below the hotel has a certain charm and cosiness and is located in a very interesting part of Bristol. At breakfast, the organisation was a little chaotic and we had to ask for another pot of tea, as the first one was very weak. However, the food was surprisingly good if not quite hot enough. The breakfast room was extremely warm, which we had noticed on a previous stay in 2007. |

Staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was very nice. Room I was in could have done with a bit of re-decoration and there was a draught coming in the window. |
