good location, staff (especially restaurant) friendly and helpful, breakfast good and a nice change from the usual in need of a makeover really badly! the hotel looks like a youth hostel or a working mens club, it smells of old people and cabbage and the decor is very dated. Cobwebs in the bathroom, smelly throw cushions that clearly don't get washed, no security locks or chains on the internal doors, windows opening directly on to the car park meaning noise and stink. Little choice for evening meal, and no information in rooms for restaurant/tv channels/local area/facilities

We have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past and have been made very welcome. The staff have always been friendly . The hotel is just around the corner from our daughter and family so we are more than happy with the location

Very comfy bed - had a great night's sleep. Staff super. Tv hanging off the wall. Lighting in room - impossible to just have bedside lights on so you have to get out of bed to turn off the room lights! Staff immediately bought me a lamp when I queried this. Apparently this is how it is here, in most of the rooms. Bizarre - but well done to the staff. Breakfast - awful food, couldn't eat the sausages, eggs overcooked. But fruit and toast ok and there was peanut butter for a pleasant change

location the room was quiet dirty, the seal around the bath was dirty, the room itself was not cleaned to a good standard. the walls between the rooms are paper thin. the food in the evening was both limited and poor. the breakfast buffet was cold.

The person on reception was very welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable - very good night's sleep It was really very quiet considering it's urban location. The breakfast was good as well. If the whole place was refurbished - it would be very nice indeed. It wasn't very warm in the room or in the public areas.

It was a convenient location for us to stay while attending a funeral in Wigston The accommodation was fairly basic - pillows hard - bed too low for my disabled husband. Toilet also too low, toilet roll holder in wrong position. Walk in shower with bench seat needed for disabled use.

Restaurant let the whole place down the service was shocking there was I lady serving and stephen running the bar. The female kept shouting at the guy and telling him off in front of everbody. My mother ordered sirloin roast with Yorkshire pudding and I ordered 10oz gammon steak with chips. Both were extremely poor.it looked like my chips which had been left in fryer for far too long nearly black and halves of new potato heavily deep fried the sirlion was not eaten fatty.Yes we should of complained we had been up since 4am at Silverstone.wanted a good meal and bed. Hence we went to mcdonalds for breakfast not hotel not impressed. Booked which it wasrestraunt 12 people and I guess that it could cater for 50 with a hotel fully . The hotel manager was great friendly welcome and room very good for cost.

Used this hotel on 2 occasions for nights out in the city. Is perfect for this. Slightly dated decor but modern furnishings ie flatscreen tv. Very clean good tea/coffee facilities and friendly helpful staff. On busy road into city but suprisingly peaceful so win win really, great for short city stopovers.
