I was very pleased with the quality accomodation which I found at very short notice. The price was within my budget, it was great for a short weekend break. Which enabled me to get to the sea side for the fresh air I need when you are living in London. I took a chance to make a booking at Beulah House and it was a pleasantl surprise that everything was okay.

I was struck by the nice welcome, the elegant ambience and furnishings in my room and the communal areas (two lounges and breakfast room), the size of my room and its cleanliness.

Shower failed in the en-suite bathroom. The landlord offered to help but was not able to fix it. We then had to take shower in the separate bathroom downstairs. Then we found hairs in the bedding and had to call the landlord again. We were then moved to a different room. Later we found the room without an en-suite. So we changed the bedding in the first room with the ones in the second room, and then had the rest of the night in sleep uneventful ... quite an interesting experience.

We only stayed for one night to attend a local private function and had to find a guesthouse close by.Beulah House turned out to be an excellent choice and we were very happy with our stay.We received a lovely warm welcome from Dennis, the owner, and was made to feel very much at home. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious and the whole of Beulah House is very nicely decorated and thought out.Would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely old house, and our bedroom was very comfortable. The house is on a busy main road, but we were on the top floor so didn't have any problems with noise, even though we slept with the window open. Breakfast was excellent. We were only there for one night before departing on a cruise. There is off-road parking to the front and rear of the hotel. The surrounding area is a bit 'dodgy'. At around 6.30pm we decided to take a walk towards the town to find somewhere to eat as it was a very pleasant, sunny evening, but after about 10 minutes we turned back - there were some very drunk and unsavoury characters around even at that early hour. In the end we ate in the Three Cups pub near the hotel, which was decent and comfortable.

Large room. Attention to furniture which matches the building's style. Poorly finished shower room. Badly fitting cheap pvc flooring and wallpaper (which can never work in a small showerroom) peeling off.

Friendly staff, but see below. Very flexible, well-cooked breakfast. Room comfortable. Staff not always in evidence; even ringing bell didn't work. There was an office, but it wasn't clear that access was possible. Wifi didn't work, for me at least.

Cosy and the staff were friendly. The decor was also tasteful There is nothing in particular except that the parking at the back is a bit of an issue if you have lots of baggage. Busy street and close to railway station which is a bit noisy.

An extremely comfortable and friendly establishment, with an old- fashioned atmosphere. The decor had style, particularly the stained glass windows, as the house used to be a place where stained glass windows for Canterbury were made.

Anita was very friendly and helpful during out stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. The location is a bit off the beaten track, you would have to walk into Dover to find a restaurant and there is the railway line nearby but the hotel is very comfortable and good value for money.

The Beulah House was situated on a main road, but the traffic did not bother us, or the train line which ran nearby (traffic noise was negligible at night). It was convenient to drive into Dover and had ample free parking. The decor was well done and the hotel was kept immaculately clean. The full English breakfast was well cooked, but there were other buffet options available. Everyone we met was very pleasant and accommodating. The sub division of the bedrooms to make ensuites and partitioning the entrance hall made some areas a little tight for more ample guests.

Anita made us very welcome, the roomm was satisfactory and the breakfst excellent. Our stay was only one night as we were boarding at over for a cruise the next day. The distance from the centre of Dover for an older person thinking it could be walked may pose a problem, The hotel fronts onto a busy road near a railway bridge though there is a bus service to the town centre. As for Dover itself, we were disappointed at the limited range of eating places (except Indian Restaurants!) for a town of its size though we found a modest Italian which met the immediate need. I hope this helps. See above.
