The room was a bit noisy
The heaters were on full and one would not turn offin the bathroom. Used the fan supplied but was so hot in the room. Cooled down in the shower to come out and be sweating again. Was a little too loud outside with the road and train line to keep the sash windows open.
Big room, lots of space and storage. Good location and parking outside. Anita was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome.
the area, unfortunately we did not feel safe in Dover in general.
the B&B was excellent
Only slight downside was road noise and trains however we slept well so not much of a problem at all
Lovely room and excellent facilities throughout. Anita the owner and her staff all very helpful. Breakfast was brilliant. Could not fault it.
The whole house looks really nice and clean. Maybe I would suggest more flexibility about check-in times as Dover is really small and be around since the morning with bags is not so comfortable. But still I can highly recommend this place.
not particarly warm welcome as i queried the breakfast, or lack of, with the owner and she came across as a bit defensive. The main light in the bedroom didn't work, probably just needed a bulb, so we had to use the lamp.Had to boil the kettle on the floor as the lead didn't reach the socket. The bed was like sleeping on an ironing board it was so hard, and the en-suite was so small the basin almost sat in your lap when you used the toilet.Shower was very noisy, you could hear the person in the next room taking a shower.
Traffic noise a bit uncomfortable
Very pleasant stay, comfortable, and very pleasant people.
The location is a bit outside of Dover city centre, but we knew that. Nothing else - very recommendable guest house.
We only stayed for one night and did not even try the breakfast, but we liked the short time very much. The host welcomed us in a way which made us feel at home directly. The room was really lovingly decorated and the whole building is charming. Thanks a lot, we'd stay there again!
Some other guests decided to have a shower at 10h30 in the night. They have water pumps in each floor which can be noisy so having a shower until 11:30 in the night wasn't a good idea!
Nice and tidy.
we come here every year, now already for 5 years ! we just love this b&b. Anita, the owner is so warm and nice! She does everything for you to make your stay perfect!!!
Very helpful and friendly owner; she gave us tips on where we could eat, etc.
Lovely room, spotlessly clean, great host, warm and welcoming
Anita was lovely and made us feel right at home, the breakfast was well worth it and it set me right up for the day. The whole place oozed quality and the decoration was tasteful (to us anyway). The whole place was spotless and the signal of the Wi-if was better than my home wifi and was available in the room too. A 10 min drive to the white cliffs and lighthouse the town centre was about 5 mins drive you could probably walk too! Overall money well spent!
Water pump was quite noisy when other guests where in the shower- wasnt a big issue for us, because we were out
-Nice breakfast -Requested room was given - very clean and comfortable, the house is in great condition -Friendly staff Would stay again
The room we had was at the top of the house, and although well presented, suffers from the noise of the very busy road and the railway line very close by. This would not, however, stop us from staying there again.
From the onset, Anita made us very welcome, even though we arrived earlier than expected. The room was very well appointed with suited pine furniture. The provision of tea/coffee making facilities was very much appreciated. Breakfast was both copious and excellent - nothing was too much trouble. We had experienced a very traumatic 2 weeks, and Anita was very understanding and helpful towards us. The house is beautiful and is shown off to its full potential with correct furnishings and stained glass widows. An 8-minute's walk away will find you at a very good pub - the Royal Oak, where a very generously-proportioned meal can be had at a very good price. The ferry port is a 5-minute drive away.
My wife found the room was not warm enough for her although I did not have an issue with the room temperature.
Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. We would happily stay here again. Good private parking facility behind the building.
Fantastic value for money! Very clean and comfortable! Friendly staff!
Train and road noise Uncomfortable bed Inconsistent hot water and heat
Good location Friendly people Individual Bathrooms Ample Parking
Access is difficult, as they like you to use the side door instead of the front door when bringing luggage in, it is a very awkward door/stairs access. Breakfast was very basic and small.
Bed clean and comfortable, lovely decor
Breakfast could include beans but very very nice
Really comfortable bed! Best night sleep for ages.
The clock alarm going off at 0:46 AM when I wanted to get up at without an alarm. Staff need to ensure that all alarms are turned off when setting the room
tv In bedroom would not work, very loud bathroom (think it was the boiler)
Very close to dover, lovely owner, stayed in large bedroom on the top floor, modern, would stay again
great access with excellent facilities and a place I could really recommend
