Safe, homely relaxing atmosphere. It is a safe value for money hotel. We will definitely stay there again.
The staff were so so friendly.
The mattress on the bed and the toilet was stained. Thought the breakfast was a little expensive but the choice was good.
Location comfy beds nice enough room staff
The bathroom was in need of updating. The breakfast was expensive.
That the basics were good in the room , bed was comfy nice linen clean carpet etc Also liked to explanation of the on going repairs etc Would like to return in a dew years and see how's it's getting on ... Great location for the town
The bath but as the man says it's a work in progress , it was clean and the shower worked but it might put some off
perfect location. good car parking facilities
bathroom needs updating. not sealed properly round bath.toilet bowl all brown in the bottom-very offputting. the duvet cover was clean but the duvet was dirty underneath--glad i didn't notice that until the morning. room needs updating all round
Staff very helpful receptionist very helpful
I had a dirty towel in my room
The Staff and the restaurant food. We have booked to return in a months time!
Dirty Bathroom poor and broken fittings
Breakfast menu was good,as well as the food.Staff were friendly and helpful.
The shower was a bit antiquated, but the hotel is in the process of renovation.
The breakfast was okay
The room was very basic and the bathroom archaic and not look particularly clean
Staff and Location
Shower in room didn't work; does the hotel not check its basic facilities to ensure they work before guests arrive? I had to change rooms at 11pm on discovering my shower didn't work - very inconvenient.
Location, food, staff,
Room could have had a seating area and not be overlooking some back alley, the bathroom floor was laminate and up two steps, not very safe!! Bathroom could do with upgrading
We liked the location, service, food and the fact it was an old coaching inn with period furnishings and ambience. Also ample car parking.
At 4' 6" the bed was too small, even for us at 11 and 8 stone respectively, queen size is a minimum nowadays
The location was central .the beds were very comfortable.
the bedroom was tired and dated
The Evening meal and breakfast were excellent. The staff were friendly & pleasant. The location to visit this little market town was brilliant.
The room 201 was dated and at the back of the hotel overlooking the car park(very disappointing). The bathroom was tired with a plastic shower curtain. I appreciate that hotels host celebrations and we didn't go to bed until late however, I think that we should have been warned when booking that there would be loud music until midnight. We were never asked if the room was ok or if we had enjoyed our stay.
Staff very good
Bathroom needs updating
The location was perfect.
The grime in the bathroom was pritty disgusting. I thought it was a posh Hotel but the room was like a really cheap B&B.
The staff were very polite and helpful Breakfast was delightful my husband had kippers with poached eggs and l the full english .
t The evening meal was a let down ,I ordered beef cobbler and my husband the meat curry ,Both were not up to standard beef cobbler would not normally be served on a panini with strips of fried onions and fried beef .The meat curry was not cooked with herbs and spices ,it tasted like it was out of a tin. meal it was not what what i orderd
Location, free parking, inter connecting rooms, helpful friendly staff.
The hotel has an oldie world feel and certainly has its little quirks, these add to the atmosphere. The outside courtyard area is very nice though the surrounding decor needs an uplift. The foor boards are creaky and the church clock chimes every 15 minutes day and night, again this adds to the feelling of oldie world. The church has been there for 600 years plus and the hotel for around 250 years so should be accepted as such. If you want Ultra modern Beverley is not the place for you. The staff are very helpfull and polite
The rooms and the hotel in general needs a massive uplift and I believe this is ongoing as and when the owners can find the finances. This does not excuse the general cleanliness of the place which is of a low standard. Overall the Beverley does not give you a feeling of this is lovely, more of a feeling of OMG what have I booked. For not a great cost this could be rectified.
Staff, room size, location, price, decor downstairs in bar area
Bathroom needed a clean, plug socket in room did not work
Location. Breakfast facilities
Probs opening windows.
Excellent location. The bedroom was very comfortable and the breakfast was of a high standard.
Bathroom could certainly do with an update and that also probably applies to the lounge too.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast cooked to perfection. The bedroom,116,has perfect outlook onto main street with view of the church.
