Friendly, welcoming and polite staff, nothing was too much for them and the food was exquisite.
Great location in the town centre. Room was clean though felt in need of an uplift, but nonetheless we had a pleasant stay. Breakfast was OK and the staff pleasant.
Location opposite the church in town centre with excellent Saturday market.
The Shower had no power, really bad. Arrived and the room was cold, we had to put a freestanding heater on as the central heating was so poor.
Good service, comfortable room, great location.
Cost of breakfast is rather high.
Comfortable Hotel, friendly staff.
Drafty, and my car got blocked in, delaying my departure by about 45 minutes!
Nice pleasant staff, a good pint of Ale.
Top floor room, radiator broken, replacement heating in place. Poor dated bathroom and shower.
room was too cold . Needed 4 heaters to heat it up every night
Bathroom not clean
The hotel was quirky and wonderfully old fashioned.
Everything , good food , great staff and a fantastic location
The loo didn't flush properly but the building is 300 years so little things like this are expected, reported to reception next morning and fixed immediately.
Location....great for shopping etc Near to plenty of good restaurants and pubs. Ideal for saturday market.
Choose not to have breakfast here due to the cost of £15.95!! No breakfast is worth that for me. Walked down to Costa instead.
Room was a good size, nice and warm and very clean.
Bathroom a little worn, could do with updating, but didn't spoil our stay.
No heating and substitute heater very poor
The location was great. The busy staff were friendly. There was a wedding taking place and it was fun to be around..
Single really did mean single . The bed was narrow. I spent 2 nights batttling with badly unfitted sheets . I woke up really tired and uncomfortable. There was room for a comfy chair but nothing was provided.
You know you're gonna get a dodgy bathroom in a classic coachhouse stepped in history....see Dick Turpin....but you barring falling over the uneven n yet deceivingly carpeted 200 year floor on entering you could not fault the fab staff and general ambience....I'd definitely stay again without a shadow of a doubt....thanks
Gonna hav to point a finger at the bath on that score......but loved the pic of Runswick Bay n choc bourbon selection......
Soundproofing between rooms was not good. The wine list was poor e.g. no French red wine and the White was dreadful. This meant that I ate out elsewhere. TV in the lounge area showing football matches all evening - good for the few locals there - but comments from other guests that it spoiled the atmosphere I totally agreed with.
Easy access to the town and the friendly, helpful staff.
The only thing that I didn't like was the fact we didn't stay longer!
The Hotel is in an excellent location. We were allocated aroom in the accommodation block, it was adequate. As this was our 45th wedding anniversary we had hoped to be allocated a room in the old building overlooking the lovely old Church opposite. As the hotel was well under occupied I thought this might happen, no such luck! perhaps on our 50th!.The three members of staff that we met were excellent and could not be bettered well done to them.
Love Beverly whats not to like
The hotels position in the town, room size, downstairs bar
Cold bedroom ,no heating in old fashioned bathroom. Old furniture in bedroom ,with cheap cups and dirty kettle. Had to ask for radiator to be bled for more heat .
Rooms a little tired
The staff are incredibly friendly and having a free car park next to the hotel is a real bonus.
The WiFi is slower than my cellular data, so pretty useless at these speeds.
Location Room service Helpful staff Reasonable rate
The bathroom is very dated with no hot water for what is a very old fashioned inadequate shower. The hotel is very dated.
Location, car park, staff.
The maintenance and decoration of the bathroom was very poor. The radiator in the bedroom was noisy for the majority of time we were in the room, i.e sounded like water flowing through the radiator. The bed room furniture looked very tired.
