Rooms a little tired
The staff are incredibly friendly and having a free car park next to the hotel is a real bonus.
The WiFi is slower than my cellular data, so pretty useless at these speeds.
Location Room service Helpful staff Reasonable rate
The bathroom is very dated with no hot water for what is a very old fashioned inadequate shower. The hotel is very dated.
Location, car park, staff.
The maintenance and decoration of the bathroom was very poor. The radiator in the bedroom was noisy for the majority of time we were in the room, i.e sounded like water flowing through the radiator. The bed room furniture looked very tired.
Clean sheets, good breakfast
location near my home
reception staff rude and unhelpful. After paying the bill the hotel did not cancel the hold on my debit card and tried to blame my bank for it. When I complained the staff were even more rude and unhelpful. Breakfast over priced and small portions. The guys came to my house for second breakfast!!!
We booked 4 rooms as we were going to a wedding nearby and we had access to 2 of those rooms a little before check-in which was helpful. The hotel's in a good location for Beverley.
It was impossible to park at first. It says 'guest car park' but it seems this isn't adhered to. The rooms were a little dated and damp. At 100 pounds for the night it was overpriced.
When l arrived the room hadn't been cleaned, lam a laided back experienced traveller, so l had a walked around the town after pointing out the unprepared room, but two hours later it was still the same. I was upgraded but.t that really isn't the point, l lost half a day. Bad organisation.
Location, ground floor, staff
Accommodation areas were very cold, no radiators were turned on. Room was tired and in desperate need of a refresh especially the bathroom, television was difficult to operate. Other guests who had turned up for a New Years Eve party were apparently told on arrival that the part had been cancelled.
Breakfast staff were excellent Hot breakfast was great
Fan heaters in bedrooms Mould in bathroom Shower had Sellotape on to keep together
Insufficient plug sockets in bedroom. Could only find one which was being used for a small radiator as extra heat. Children have an average of at least 2 or 3 dvd players etc plus charger for phone. Had to unplug tv to charge.
The location is very good. Staff are pleasant and very obliging. The hotel is warm and fairly comfortable.
Hotel is looking tired and jaded. It is in need of refurbishment if it is to capture its former glory.
Very cold, creaky room. For a suite the decor was appalling, cupboard falling apart inside!! Very dark inside the room.
excellent central location in beverley, free wifi, nicely decorated, comfortable room. lovely bar/lounge area. free parking
not enough staff bathroom clean, but very old- needs updating .
Location plus friendly staff
Bit grubby inside the rooms. Fixtures and fittings seen better days and shabberly maintained. What we couldnt work out was why the bed sheets where bizarrely shorter than the beds. Odd and a bit ickie feeling the undersheets, which prob remain on bed for ages, at both the top and bottom of the bed.
The hotel has had lots of contemporary updates including grey walls and a black christmas tree. The bedroom had no heating, with the pipes taped up, and a electric convector heater which needed to be switched on and off. There was no heating in the bathroom, despite there being a towel radiator. When complained to the staff were not interested and said they were being updated. This update is now into its 2nd year, and is not satisfactory at all
Excellent nights sleep, good breakfast, plenty of choice
Shower wasn't powerful enough.
The young woman on reception who handled our issue of no hot water with professionalism and respect
The hotel had a boiler problem which meant we had no hot water and were not told on check in that there was no hot water for a shower
Size of room Large Double Bed Decor Lovely Breakfast Staff Dining rooms Christmas decor
Radiator didn't work Bath was extremely small No bottled water provided Very sparse toiletries - only 1 small bottle of shampoo etc when there were two people. Welcome pack did not contain any information regarding the hotel, room or hotel facilities, all we had was a Christmas menu Room needed a bit of a make-over as did some of the corridors in the hotel
Location and views Staff were pleasant
Room 302 needs "re-doing", very tired. Didn't think anyone had single beds any more! Bathroom not particularly clean, fittings loose, sink and bath marked and old. Toilet flush handle coming off wall. Breakfast tables extremely wobbly.
Excellent location to meet up with friends in center of town and visit the many drinking establishments & Victoria Christmas Market.
Six of us booked into stay at Beverly Arms Hotel, we found the bedrooms to be very nice and comfortable but all of the bathrooms need a serious makeover as were all looking there age basic and tired. Showers were not very good, old and in need of power.
It is ideally situated in the centre of Beverley, for shops, restaurants, pubs etc
The car park is well located at the rear. Unfortunately the barrier is broken so access by all is possible. We waited 10 mins, then a shopper returned and we got her space, but we were lucky.
the old part of the hotel has creaky floors which disturb at night. Also the old sash cord windows are very draughty.
Very pleasant and friendly staff at reception and at bar
Some elements a little dated, particularly bathroom. Single glazed windows in bathroom made space very cold and prone to excessive dampness/condensation.
The location was faultless: right in the middle of an attractive, traditional market town
Having booked many rooms through Booking.com of a similar price over the past 10 years, this room was without doubt the worst value for money. Why? Broken radiator, cold bathroom, dirty shower head, cheap sink, toilet seat wouldn't stay up, stained bath, previous visitor's toiletries still in bathroom, staircase to room smelt damp. Breakfast was extra: this is sometimes the case at this price, but this is only acceptable if the room is exemplary.
