Location plus friendly staff
Bit grubby inside the rooms. Fixtures and fittings seen better days and shabberly maintained. What we couldnt work out was why the bed sheets where bizarrely shorter than the beds. Odd and a bit ickie feeling the undersheets, which prob remain on bed for ages, at both the top and bottom of the bed.
The hotel has had lots of contemporary updates including grey walls and a black christmas tree. The bedroom had no heating, with the pipes taped up, and a electric convector heater which needed to be switched on and off. There was no heating in the bathroom, despite there being a towel radiator. When complained to the staff were not interested and said they were being updated. This update is now into its 2nd year, and is not satisfactory at all
Excellent nights sleep, good breakfast, plenty of choice
Shower wasn't powerful enough.
The young woman on reception who handled our issue of no hot water with professionalism and respect
The hotel had a boiler problem which meant we had no hot water and were not told on check in that there was no hot water for a shower
Size of room Large Double Bed Decor Lovely Breakfast Staff Dining rooms Christmas decor
Radiator didn't work Bath was extremely small No bottled water provided Very sparse toiletries - only 1 small bottle of shampoo etc when there were two people. Welcome pack did not contain any information regarding the hotel, room or hotel facilities, all we had was a Christmas menu Room needed a bit of a make-over as did some of the corridors in the hotel
Location and views Staff were pleasant
Room 302 needs "re-doing", very tired. Didn't think anyone had single beds any more! Bathroom not particularly clean, fittings loose, sink and bath marked and old. Toilet flush handle coming off wall. Breakfast tables extremely wobbly.
Excellent location to meet up with friends in center of town and visit the many drinking establishments & Victoria Christmas Market.
Six of us booked into stay at Beverly Arms Hotel, we found the bedrooms to be very nice and comfortable but all of the bathrooms need a serious makeover as were all looking there age basic and tired. Showers were not very good, old and in need of power.
It is ideally situated in the centre of Beverley, for shops, restaurants, pubs etc
The car park is well located at the rear. Unfortunately the barrier is broken so access by all is possible. We waited 10 mins, then a shopper returned and we got her space, but we were lucky.
the old part of the hotel has creaky floors which disturb at night. Also the old sash cord windows are very draughty.
Very pleasant and friendly staff at reception and at bar
Some elements a little dated, particularly bathroom. Single glazed windows in bathroom made space very cold and prone to excessive dampness/condensation.
The location was faultless: right in the middle of an attractive, traditional market town
Having booked many rooms through Booking.com of a similar price over the past 10 years, this room was without doubt the worst value for money. Why? Broken radiator, cold bathroom, dirty shower head, cheap sink, toilet seat wouldn't stay up, stained bath, previous visitor's toiletries still in bathroom, staircase to room smelt damp. Breakfast was extra: this is sometimes the case at this price, but this is only acceptable if the room is exemplary.
friendly staff, good food & excellent central location
limited car parking
The location is in town so near to all the pubs and restaurants,we had a room overlooking the church which was lovely the room was warm and comfy and quiet even though we were at the front of the hotel, the staff were pleasant and the hotel has a nice atmosphere .
The cost of the room (£135) didn't include breakfast which is a bit steep!!
Great central location, bar staff very attentive
small room for two people
Excellent location, great staff
Room was a little cold on The Friday we arrived
We decided to return to The Beverley Arms after staying there last year after we got married in Beverley .The Hotel is one of our Favourites and we always enjoy our Stay.
Lack of heating
The shower was very poor with water just dribbling out tried the bath it took over an our to fill we complained again at time of checking out and requested some reimbursement which was not forthcoming would only stay again if some a token reimbursement is given and reassurance that the water in the bathroom was to an acceptable level
Location Warm room
Dated room ie Decor - bathroom updated/ renew Fridge required ! Taps difficult to turn on/off Re-Grouting or cleaned !
Excellent central location. The hotel has character, is comfortable and the rooms were pleasant. Breakfast was very good. We were in Beverley for a family party and so only slept and had breakfast at the hotel. I therefore can't make any detailed comments about facilities. It was very good value for money.
The plumbing needs attention.
Very good location, very nice place would defently stay again.
Very disappointed with shower no hot water so cold shower on a Sunday morning was not very good. When we checked out the receptionist just said we will let them know. Also could not believe the cost of breakfast so we gave it a miss.
Location Car park
Unhelpful reception No heating in bedroom and bathroom Wireless was primitive No soap in bathroom Shower primitive Generally disappointing
The hotel is conveniently situated in the lovely town of Beverley. It's a nice town to walk around and enjoy the cafes, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is well organised with friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced.
The shower mixer did not work and was therefore cold, but the bath was fine. Otherwise, nothing to complain about at all.
The location was perfect. Beverley is a beautiful place with such beautiful architecture, so much to explore and nice places to eat. The Beverley Arms is in an ideal location . The hotel is comfortable and spacious restaurant and bar. There is also a nice spacious room for functions there which has glass doors from floor to ceiling. This let's the sun shine in making it a bright and well lit room which is nice and warm during the day. The bar area is almost adjacent to the function room and it is very spacious combining the cosy homely old features of The Beverley Arms with a more contemporary touch. An ideal place for any celebration or even business seminar with many people .
I didn't like the later check in time of 2pm although I am aware this isn't an unusual check in time.
reception staff not at all attentive to customer on this occassion. This did not happen in the past
