Easy to book, friendly, cheap. Near to leisure centre for swimming and sauna. 10 mins or less by taxi to city centre. Very convenient, quiet. Plentiful breakfast was provided. Shower in my room was not power shower! The hot water was very slow! But I wasn't expecting to have a shower in there at all, so it was an extra! I used the one in the corridor - which was fine.

Nothing to be positive about. Room had no heating. Bathroom resembled a "pub" toilet with a shower in it, shower poor with no kickplate so looked very unsafe. The walls had cracks and mould. Walls must be extremely thin as we never got any sleep due to constant noise from other rooms. Didnt really need a door lock as the door would only open using great strenth. Staff were unhelpful and non present. This hotel would give Faulty Towers a run for its money. Awful stay would not recommend to anyone.

I was very happy with my accommodation. Room was clean, and provided all facilities I requested. Good value for money. I would re visit if I ever visited Newcastle again. Staff enter the rooms without knocking the door. Personally I did not mind, but I know that there will be people who will. It happened twice, by different persons (woman and man).

The staff were friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was ok and served very quickly. Very central and easy to find The rooms were very clean No wardrobe or hanging space. (Apart from hooks) No dressing table. The bed was up against a wall which was then difficult to get in and out of during the night. The shower took a long time to get hot and then was only a spray.

It was a refreshing change to stay in a friendly, family-run hotel. Perfectly comfortable. A building with character run by people with character. At £37 incl. Full English breakfast, this was outstanding value.

Room was quiet though the usual small double bed. Water took a long time to heat up. Coffee was truly disgusting and the clothes rack in the dining room full of washing was a sight to behold! But as long as you go there not expecting anything but a cheap place to stay then it's fine.

The room where we had to stay was in a house next to the hotel and not actually in the hotel. It was a very small, bad smelling and dirty room. There was not even room for a chair. There was hairs inside one of the mugs and in the towels. There was cigarette ash in the floor. There was no shampoo or shower gel available. There was no internet network in the room (and we've paid a room internet). The breakfast is only served from 8 to 9am. It was the worst room I've ever stayed. It was a horrible experience. I would never go back.
