Great location-right in the centre of Glasgow. Friendly ambiance in bar area. Attentive bar staff. Had asked for a front facing upper floor room but got one at the back with no view, but in fairness we arrived early so they may not have had the other room ready. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marks Hotel. We got upgraded to the penthouse suite which was very nice. Breakfast was of a very high standard and the surroundings of the bar and restaurant were very nice. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only problem was that we could not turn off the air conditioning in our room at nite. Although it appeared to be switched off on the remote control it still seemed to be blowing out air and making noise during the night. |

The staff were very friendly and booking in was quick and easy. Also once we were checked out they were quite happy to keep our luggage till later in the day. We liked the fact we could get a triple room as it was a girls shopping weekend. |

Nice location in the heart of the city WLAN was free of charge but VPNs are not allowed. In addition the signal quality was very poor. |

Fantastic location for the Theature, the shopping area and close to Central Station. The hotel was quiet and near restaurants if you wished to dine out. Breakfast was very good. A proper TV with Free View was good as well. |

Hotel location great, receptionist upgraded our room for no extra charge. Breakfast service was a nightmare, we waited 30 miniutes for poached egg on burnt toast!! We were not advised to book a table in the restaurant for dinner as a result we were rambling the strrets late at night for a meal! Rave music playing until after 2am in nightclub at the back of hotel, we were told by the manager this is what to expect when you stay in the city centre!! |

the food at the restaurant and the ease of booking the decor was a bit in your face in places and the buffet at breakfast was a little too limited |

Good location, and clean. Although the room was very good and clean there was an unpleasant smell from the toilet/bathroom.This was dealt while we were out, so no great problem and are planning a return before xmas. |

The breakfast was very good. But em generally the areas in and out the room weren´t clean. The price is too high considering some points as cleanining services. |

The Marks Hotel was a last minute booking for me. I don't usually stay at this nice of a hotel but needed something in that location and it worked. The hotel felt very posh. We were only there for 12 hours, so I can't comment a lot but it seemed to be in an excellent location for being central to Glasgow... A 3/4 quid ride from Glasgow Central Train Station. The hotel & room itself were beautiful, clean, comfortable... Everything you'd expect. |

Easy access to the hotel from the M8 and close proximity to the city centre shops and restaurants. Beds were strangely short in length and the bar closed at 12:00AM with no alternative but to go to our room. |

The location was excellent, right by Buchanan street and all the shopping possibilities. They didn't change the bed sheets. |

I liked the standard and thecentral place in the city. I especially liked the service from the yound "chief" i the hotelbar/restaurant. The service in the restaurant (breakfast) can be better. A little smile, some polite words, a little more active style would make your hotel to a better place to stay. |
