Marks Hotel  

The Pre-theatre menu + bottle of wine for less than £30 was very nice indeed. The food was excellent.

The price of a glass of wine in the bar - no wonder it is empty most nights.

The service was very quick and staff were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was beautiful really enjoyed the cooked english breakfast. Best I have had in a hotel ever.

good sized, comfortable bedrooms, well equiped and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant dinner excellent. Perfect position for city break, shopping and sight seeing

Noisy street at front of hotel

The staff were very friendly and rooms clean and comfortable. Close to city centre and food good.

I pay'd extra for a city view room on which should have a view of the city and was located in a room at the front of the hotel on floor 5 which has a terrible view of the building in front of the hotel and not a city view I think this is false advertising and the hotel should stop advertising these rooms as such. Apart from this the room and breakfast were good but will not stay here again as I feel if I pay for something it should be provided

Fantastic hotel!! On checkin we were upgraded to one of their duplex suites, absolutely spectacular views of the city so we stayed an extra night!! Reception staff couldn't be more helpful, would definitely recommend anyone to stay at the marks hotel

The reception staff, bar staff and staff on duty at breakfast were extremely friendly but not in a false forced way. Genuine friendly staff who were interested in my stay.

The staff were excellent and the location was very central.

I had a room that was facing a ventilation shaft. The room was dark even during the day. For the price paid I expected much more and I will probably not go back. Upon arrival the room was set up with 3 beds that took up all the space. I arrived late but had called ahead to inform aout my late arrival.

I liked the location, value for money and the friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was really nice too.

Our first room looked into a wall which made it really dark and dingy. The reception staff were lovely and moved us to another room on the top floor. The room was very warm at night which made it difficult to sleep. We tried to leave the window open but could hear the nightclub below. On the whole we found the whole hotel very dark and the dining room was so warm we had to hurry to eat breakfast just to get out and get some air.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, very good location for shopping nad resturants and bars.
