Have stayed in this hotel on a few occasions. Very cenrral for shops restaurants etc. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Requested room service for breakfast and as instructed put request outside room well before cut-off time. Wondered where breakfast was following morning only discovered request had not been picked up. Reception very apologetic and rectified immediately. Went to dining room on second morning but queue to get into dining room was massive. Quality and selection of breakfast was not great.
staff were very good, polite and helpful.the bar was a little expensive and now only do the 25ml measure not the 35ml measure the scots are known for.had a meal in the restaurant food was excellent staff very good.
the check in was a little annoying,it did state that 2pm would be the time to check in but we had to wait almost an hour.the décor is a little tired, wall paper ripped in parts paintwork a little tired, when bedroom staff cleaning out the rooms dirty glasses etc where lying there for a good couple of hours or more,a little more attention to detail is required in those areas
The hotel and the staff
Good location Attentive staff Poached eggs at breakfast
Breakfast - think you can tell a lot from the quality of meat that is served (bacon appeared boiled and sausages were cheap) and bread was not the best either Chaos at breakfast at 9am - no glasses, no buffet, staff rushed off their feet Executive room - small double bed - plenty room for kingsize 4star Mcdonald ALOT better - this is more 3.5 star
the hotel was nice and clean and with in walking distance of shops and train station
the staff at desk weren't very helpful in telling us where to go as this was our first time at hotel. We had to queue for 20mins on the sunday morning for breakfast. Staff were over stretched
Situation Excellent staff Decent breakfast
City centre location Friendly and helpful staff Cost
Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Very handy for either railway station
The Wifi was a bit hit and miss but that didn't really detract from an enjoyable stay.
Location Staff Price Room was good size Did have free wifi but couldn't find my code (am sure reception would have got me another one but I couldn't be bothered to go down again) A bar 2 doors to left as you walk out of hotel called the howling wolf and was open till 3am. Nandos a 3min walk away. Buchanan Street is 5min walk and lots of bars on there!
No air con and radiators were on so was boiling!
staff helpful, polite and courteous very friendly.
Have visited before about 5 years ago. Hotel needs a little bit of a make over. Rooms are fine but corridors reception etc need attendtion
Location comfortable bed
Can't adjust height of shower No toilet lid (room 309) Poor lighting in bathroom: couldn't put on makeup in the bathroom as a result.
Repection staff not very helpful. Bar staff in hurry to close the bar at 11pm . Came down for breakfast 30 minutes before end of service very little left and quite untidy, again staff seemed in big hurry to finish.
Location & staff, excellent shower, very quiet considering location
Bed was too short & not that comfy, got an unwanted wake up call at 5am, no parking facilities (have to use qpark next door)
Price, comfort, breakfast and bar were all good.
Whoever decorated was into very loud and, to my eye, clashing patterns.
Small bed Staff not so friendly
The location was excellent and the breakfast was very good and always hot.The room was big with a good size ensuit
No tea or coffee available in the room
Great hotel, friendly environment, incredibly clean and close to town centre
Great location. Big clean room 403. Great breakfast.
Staff were very attentive and helpful, we were bed and breakfast and what a breakfast, everything you could want, the bar was very friendly, and the staff on the front desk were very nice and even kept our suitcase to let us do some last minute shopping.
My husband thought the bed was to hard, but I thought it was OK,didn't stop us having a good nights sleep. One thing I did miss was a small fridge, the room was quite warm even with the windows open and a cool drink would have done the trick.
Walking distance from theatre.
The hotel was in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff. I paid a little extra to include breakfast which was definitely worth it, as the breakfast was lovely. We arrived early and they had our room all ready, which was definitely appreciated. All in all a lovely stay
The hotel reception had a strong smell of cigarettes, probably from years of people smoking indoors. The decor is a bit dated and the lifts, rooms and corridors looked tired, but the rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The hot water ran out in our bathroom on the Sunday morning, but was fine later in the day.
Room service trays left in hall over 24hr period
