Location for town centre
Me and my husband enjoyed the Saturday night after the Still Game show,21 September, the guys behind the bar were great and very pleasant.
The polish girl telling us to drink up as the bar shut at 10.30pm, and if we wanted more drinks we were to order them in our room, we noticed that more people were coming into the bar and you could see that she was getting annoyed, we left the bar in discussed with her behaviour. this was on the Sunday night 22nd September.
Great location and nice room
A little noisey as bars downstairs
The city centre location, the quality of accommodation, the excellent bar and food and the breakfast.
Following other travelers advice, we asked for a room higher up at the rear of the hotel, so it was fairly quiet.
Staff location food
Bed too small
Pleasant Staff Comfortable Room
Initial front staff reception. We arrived early from overnight flight. Staff was eventually sensitive to our needs and got us settled but not without some drama. I was so tired!
We had been overcharged by the hotel and I had to approach the staff at reception 3 times in order to get this issue resolved. On all 3 occasions the staff seemed to have a bad attitude
Location was excellent. Breakfast was first class as was the breakfasting staff..dinner staff very nice dinner menu could of been better.was quite expensive for what you got.very busy at night.
Pillows were very hard. If you was at back of hotel was very noisy
Near City center
Central position, plenty of pubs and restaurants near by if you want to eat or drink outside of the hotel. Decent sized rooms well appointed.
Having to park in multi storey next door albeit you get a 25% discount on the cost from the hotel reception.

Room a bit tatty
too noisy from drunk people late night
Breakfast was good Staff checking in were excellent Staff at breakfast were attentive Wifi is best we have received in a hotel.
No fried eggs Too much redin decor
The hotel is always immaculately clean and the beds are comfortable. My only comment would be that they could give a couple extra milk tubs for tea and coffee in the room.
Excellent staff. Very tasty breakfasts.
Prices in the bar were way too high.
This hotel is just a few minutes walk from the train station and very central. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable. We would defiantly stay here again.
We found no faults with this hotel.
Breakfast was excellent, Room was good and bed comfortable. Power Shower even better than excellent.
Glasgow Hotels are somewhat overpriced in my opinion but Marks compared well with its contemporaries.
The room was nice and of good size. The breakfast was good
The room was noisy (traffic noise and people partying). The window sliding door couldn't be closed. Very expensive for the type of accommodations. We stayed during the Ryder Cup weekend, so maybe the prices were increased due to that. The room was rather warm.
Closeness to shops Lovely breakfast(apart from the tea!) Free wifi Helpful staff, nothing was a problem Sitting in the bar, people watching, while having a nightcap. Price, very good for a hotel situated so centrally.
The tea at breakfast was truly awful every morning, please review how its made or served, perhaps the staff should try a cup before they serve it or maybe think about letting guests make it themselves?! The decor is looking a little tired.
Clear external signage, easy to find on foot.Comfortable and clean room.
Hunting for the room tea & coffee facility, found eventually in a drawer!!! Took ages to find it on arrival when time was short.
Bar food and cocktails were very enjoyable. Accommodation pleasant and suited our needs satisfactorily.
After passing all the downtown restaurants that were too trendy to offer Scottish recipes, ended up back at Marks Hotel restaurant where haggis etc was available, sensible moderate portions well prepared. Oh yes and the hotel was excellent value for money too, impressive room size.
Nothing to dislike, room was quiet with windows shut late September, could imagine it being less quiet in mid summer with them open in this central location.
all was fine with the hotel
