the room was nice and warm, the bed was really comfortable.
The lift - will only take 2 people and maybe their luggage... it's tiny
Good hotel in excellent location. Friendly staff,
Although my husband is not quite six foot tall the bed was not long enough
Hotel was very good. Entrance and Hallway could do with being upgraded, bedrooms lovely. Restaurant very nice and food delicious. Definitely recommend this Hotel.
Staff, breakfast, clean spacious and quiet rooms
The hotel was dated and rundown. I paid £30 for an upgrade, to a mezzanine bedroom, totally not worth the money. The bedroom was at best adequate, there was no hair conditioner or shower gel in bathroom, these items were requested but were never delivered. There was also no mini bar in the room which I suppose was in keeping with the standard of the other aspects of the hotel. Breakfast was poor, not a great choice and cooked food greasy, also the bread at the toaster was wet and frozen. Not Fresh!!! I would not stay in the Marks or sister Hotels again, and would also encourage others to look elsewhere if they required a hotel in Glasgow. This was New Years Eve,and the hotel had a distinct lack of atmosphere... A depressing place that I couldn't wait to leave. A complaint was made at the time, however fell on deaf ears, no feed back from staff...
Comfortable room and bed, excellent breakfast, polite and helpful staff.
Room was a little cold.
Great location, walking distance to key attractions, rooms had good sound proofing, heard very little noise despite it being the busiest night if the year (New Year's Eve) very reasonably priced city centre hotel.
I didn't dislike anything, being picky hotel would benefit from a gym or leisure facilities.
Great location and lovely staff
Close to railway station - walking distance . Bars , restaurants , shopping centre , also close by ,
Everything and Everything!
Great location close to station Helpful reception Comfortable room Cosy bar
Bar staff not as attentive as I would like
The hotel is in a great area for shopping and dining. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Would book this hotel again.
There was nothing we disliked.
staff and the quality of the food
no fridge in room,no fan in bathroom.
Good value for money and a central location.
Can't think of anything not to like.
Nice reception to walk in to. Good location
Far too expensive for the experience we received. Expected a lot more from this hotel Felt a little let down
Staff were great
Scottish hospitality. Exactly no more and no less. Care, courtesy and assistance if necessary. I was touched by the heartfelt concern.
Easy to find just a short walk from bus or train station. Very comfortable beds, friendly staff a good choice.
The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Being close to Christmas there was a very good atmosphere in the hotel bar. The room was quite spacious with a larger than average bathroom. Buffet style breakfast which was nice.
There must have been a problem in one of the corners of the room, the ceiling had been painted over which looked a bit unsightly against the darker painted ceiling giving an impression of the room needing redecorating. We were given a 25% discount voucher for the multi car park but unfortunately this did not work so we had to pay the full price of £22 for 24 hours.
That I was charged £8.50 for breakfast on arrival and then was refunded £1 on departed as I only had the Continental for £7.50. Why charge £8.50 when the cooked breakfast was £12.50?
The location is excellent, close enough to walk to all shops, transport, restaurants, theatres etc but away from a noisy city centre. Room size and facilities were very good and I found it comfortable and also very quiet.
Wi- fi kept getting lost and at times was a bit of a nuisance but overall I still managed to cope.
