We had high hopes when booking with Marriott, as we thought it would be
the perfect place to have a relaxing stay and enjoy our weekend
together, however it was not at all the standard I would have expected.
We went out for the night to watch a movie and have some food after
enjoying your lovely spa, however upon returning, around midnight, we
were first greeted by a group of drunk males just standing outside the
hotel blocking the entrance. I then attempted to find a parking space in
your car park, but to my annoyance there was no spaces, mainly because
as we later found out there was a wedding on in your hotel and also
because some people had parked extremely inconsiderately, some cars
taking up 2 spaces!!!! My girlfriend got out of the car to speak to your
reception staff to see if they could help whilst I tried to find a
space, however on her way to the reception she was greeted rather rudely
and shouted at by the drunk males which upset her, and it normally takes
a lot to upset her! When she came back to me she informed me that the
staff had to told us that we would have to park in the car park next
door.... Which frankly is not on as I am a paying guest! I accept that
you had a wedding going on and they also are paying guests however most
of the guests of the wedding weren't staying at your hotel and so
why they couldn't park in the car park next door baffles me....
Other guests which were also trying to find a space with me outside
completely agree and I will not be surprised if they too make a
complaint about this. I ended up parking on the double yellow lines
outside the hotel which I was instructed I was allowed to do by your
duty manager that night, now the £6 fee of parking was deducted off of
the bill the next morning but frankly it has put me off staying in that
The spa, especially the steam room and Jacuzzi...
The breakfast was amazing and well stocked!
