Close to central Whitby and the park with good museum in. parking spaces. Great breakfast. Friendly, approachable host.

Single pane windows which would be fine if there weren't so many seagulls waking us up at 5am... although this is to be expected near the seaside.

    Soft pillows and comfy bed

Building work started at 8am next door.. was a nightmare, didn't go to sleep until after 2am!! Had to leave the B&B immediately, he knew about the work and the noise, but didn't say anything. The place is dated, not really my cup of tea, not too keen on the bloke running it, had to wait 45 mins for breakfast.. I wont be going back..

Brian and Vicky could not have been nicer or more willing to accommodate our needs. Top people, very homely place. We've stayed there before, and will definitely do so again.

Highly recommend this very welcoming and comfortable BB, with very friendly hosts Brian and Vicky who couldn't be more helpful. The family rooms are very clean and spacious with a hearty breakfast, what more could you want from a holiday.

The continued online advertising that this property accepts cards for payment produces unpleasant situations when guests are informed on departure that no cards are accepted as payment. This is a cash-only operation and their continued advertising otherwise is deceptive.

Brian the proprietor was very friendly and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible, even going as far as getting 2 new chairs for the room because I had requested 2 chairs if the room was large enough to fit them.

scaffolding on the house next door, but please don't be put off.

The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Just a niggle, the wall light above the dressing table had no bulb, so I asked for one - but never got this. On leaving, I raised this as being fairly important when putting on make up etc., I was told that it's not wired up as its only 'for effect' - I wish I had been told this at first. The sofa in the room is very uncomfortable - when I sat on it I sank so low it surprised me at first (legs everywhere) - beware!
