It is the most comfortable, cleanest and nicest hotel on the seafront. The wireless internet connection didn;t work on the third night and the hotel staff were unable to fix it for me. This was a major problem for me because I specifically needed internet access that weekend.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice and helpful. We had a small baby with us and anything we asked for we got The main thing the hotel is missing is a swimming pool and I would like there to have been a mini fridge in the room

Location was good, food was good. We booked a "de-luxe" room but was really disappointed with the level of luxury. The room we were in (338) was quite "boutique" maybe, but we though it was just like a basic travellodge room. There were no drawers for clothes etc and having two armchairs without any small table to put things on, and having a fire that was not working, did not make it luxurious.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and have no complaints. One thing this time was the fact that we were allocated a family room and this is not what we asked for. We were told that this room had more space but we really do not want to stay in a room with bunk beds in it. Our days of these type of rooms are well gone, however I do understand that perhaps they thought they were doing us a favour.

It had a mordern approach to design and living space, keeping up to date with requirements such as , wifi, dvd, sitting and working area rather than just a bed in a box.For a change this hotel has proved that an other night or weekend stay can be fun .Staff were helpful ,polite and curtious at all time , but what stood out ever more, Was the fact it was done with a smile ! I would highly recommend this hotel to everone

We had an excellent stay at The Big Blue Hotel. The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Coming back every evening to a spotless and luxurious bedroom was always nice. The breakfast everyday was great and the layout of the room was great, the kids loved the little bunkbed room the best. We will definately be staying with you again during our next visit and would recommend it to anyone.

I really enjoyed my stay at the big blue hotel and I would like to book that hotel again in the future. Mine and my family's experience was a very pleasurable one. The hotel staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Overall, our experience as a a family was an enjoyable one. There was no aspect of the hotel which I didn't like. The location, the staff, the experience was all good

We found this hotel to be good quality for the price.Possibly the best on offer in this area.Rooms clean/staff good. Would we stay here again ...possibly not due to its location and until Blackpool can clean up its image!Travelling from Australia to visit family we found Blackpool a bit of shock with many shops and buildings boarded up. Blackpool some how has to raise its image along with food prices in bars ect and hotels. This might then might deture the lout culture that visit this destination. We found this hotel more of a safe haven after a day out in Blackpool. Great hotel......no complaints apart from very noisy people in room above. Called reception to complain. This was delt with straight away where the room went silent.

Close to Pleasure Beach Theme Park. Poor welcome by the receptionist. We arrived at 13:00 after 5 hours travel by train with 2 kids. We approached the reception and the girl looked at us as if we were little kids doing something wrong by arriving 2 hours earlier. We asked to leave our luggage so we can explore the area until the room will be ready and she made the effort to show us where to put the luggage if will be able to find place cause it was very busy she said... Then she decided we have an extra kid - Why did I see 3 kids? She asked my husband... We had to wait 20 minute for a breakfast table. The worst was when we asked for shampoo cause they did not refill anything in the room, and we were told we had to pay 5 pounds for it !! Is this a 4 star hotel ???? Very disappointing experience !!

We liked the total expereince from to check in to check out with all the bits in between. The only thing we can think off is the lack of reading lighting in the room.

The breakfast staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They all spoke to our children which makes for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. They all were very helpful and would happily go the extra mile to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. The only negative comment we have is regarding one member of staff - the female duty manager who was behind reception on the late afternoon of Thursday 7 Apr '11. We merely asked a quick question and without even lifting her head she replied with a very snippy toned "no". This was a great shame as all other staff members (at various levels) were extremely polite and pleasant.

We picked the big blue hotel at Blackpool as we wanted to enjoy Blackpool but not stay in a shabby hotel/b and b as we had done in the past. The hotel was amazing my two young children loved the the seperate sleeping area with snakes and ladders on the wall -when we arrived we were asked where we would like our room with I thought was relly nice we picked a room over looking the pleasure beach and it was so funny to see all the faces of the people on the rides we have booked to go back in october. Also an amazing breakfast would recomend this hotel.

Everything - there was nothing to fault. The rooms were spacious and well equipped, there were even spare pillows without the need to find someone and ask. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and when my son had a nosebleed the service was marvellous. The facilities for children were excellent, we had a double room and a family room. The kids could not get to the snakes and ladders as were were having too much fun playing it. The bar and dining were excellent, the food was amazing and catered for everyone without any disapproving looks when my son asked for red sauce instead of tartare sauce with the scampi. It was a good pint of lager but the desserts were something else, sticky toffe pudding with ice-cream - yum yum x The weather was terrible during our stay I would have liked an area to go and sit with a steaming hot chocolate and watch the waves as it was something else.
