The Big Blue Hotel - Pleasure Beach Resort  

The big blue hotel is the best we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many hotels in Blackpool over the years spotless and trendy the rooms were fantastic if the room hasn't got it you don't need it will go again and again many thanks

The rooms were great luxury the breakfast was great plenty of choice

warm, clean and friendly staff. Excellent food and well situated away from the Blackpool club scene.

Free WI-FI was a joke, totally unfit for purpose, not suitable if on business.

we staid in a up grated room and was very good had seating and table plenty off hot water, I stayed here when first opened 10 years ago and glad to see still up to date and rooms looking as new good times for breakfest and evening meals

would have liked a pool as rained all day on the Sat so spent a lot off time in room

Beautiful hotel we have come from manchester on 4varous occasions for a nights break and we love it and would recommend it thank you

The hotel was really nice and the staff were friendly and very helpful would defo stay there again

Family room outstanding.y boys loved their separate sleeping area. Breakfast fantastic.

Really clean, comfortable beds. Toiletries included, plenty of tea and coffee in room. Location to theme park and beach. Free parking could leave car in carpark after check out!

I was dissapointed that there wasnt a good hotel bar with a tv to watch the cup final. The bar was more of a waiting area for the restaurant which was a shame as we only had one drink in there and was looking forward to relaxing in a good on site bar.

The bar was very homely, lots of sofa's & chairs. The breakfast & evening meals were very good. All the staff were very kind & helpful.

We didn't like the noise in the room above us, children running back & forth across the floor.

into park early but no rides open till 10-30 ? pointless exit to hotel closed so had to walk further to get back to hotel so bit more correct advise would have been nice

Some of the equipment broken(heating) hard to reach front desk sometimes been on the phone 10-15 min waiting and some staff couldn`t spek english and has been really rude!!The worst experience was waiting in the lobby for 25 minutes at breakfest to be seated!!!Really a nightmare!!!

We were given a family room which meant it was very spacious unlike other hotels I have stayed in. Also the breakfast was self service so you could choose what suited you.

We arrived half an hour early and we were soaked from the rain and so we stayed in the foyer waiting to check in. The staff were fully aware that we were there and why we were there as we had our bags with us and we had a conversation with a staff member. However, when another guest arrived (also early) they were checked in straight away. As a result of this I think the staff need training in customer service and manners. Also we were informed of all the facilities available on arrival apart from the gym. I have stayed at this hotel many of times and not once has the private entrance to the pleasure beach been open...you have to walk about 10 minutes to the main entrance.

Drinks are far to expensive to stop in the hotel as you can go round the back street for half the price.room service is a disgrace and not value for money at all.basically do not eat or drink at this hotel

Friendly and helpfull dining room staff. Good size room. Room facilities. Choice of breakfast food.

Not so friendly reception staff. Not so friendly female breakfast chef. Smell of burnt toast in the morning. Rear automatic door did not operate as it should at the times it should.

The rooms were nice and clean. Very much like a Premier Inn in terms of style and furniture. Parking was easy on site. Breakfast offered a good choice and was tasty. Passes and access to the pleasure beach very handy.

Kids!!! Everywhere. We are two couples in our 30s/40s and we are not children haters by any stretch but we did get fed up of the kids in the bar. A seperate family bar or area would be good. Or market the hotel as a family hotel. Also feel the rooms are overpriced at £92. £75 would be more like it. It's nice but not luxurious.

Noise from room above for the two nights we stayed and staff did nothing to help never offered a different room or anything. Other than that a really nice place too stay
