It is not at all what I thought it would have been by the advertising. It is a shabby badly located hotel with as far as I could see no redeeming features.

near city centre poor decoration, old and dirty curtains. the room smelled like cigarettes. when we checked in the price wasn't the one I had got on booking.com (instead of 45£, they wanted to charge us 69!!). Fortunately I had my reservation printed out and everything went well.

The location of the hotel for central Cardiff is excellent. The staff obviously work hard in keeping the rooms and customer areas clean and tidy. this was our second stay at the hotel and we will probably use it again. Like the alternative design in the hotel, it is refreshing. Stayed in room 1008 and I am sure that someone must have known that the base of the bed was already broken, not condusive to sleep when each time you turn over in bed there are loud creaks and groans from the bed. The neighbours must have thought there was 20 of us in the room trying to sleep in one bed. The curtains could do with refreshing, either cleaning or replacing.

The hotel's location was fantastic, we were attending a show at the Motorpoint Arena (formerly the Cardiff International Arena) and the hotel is situated directly opposite. The hotel was a brilliant price and we only stayed for one night, it was very comfortable and adequate for our requirements. We were travelling with our 6 year old son and had a family room which was very large with 2 double beds and a big bathroom with shower. It is by no means luxurious but it is comfortable, very clean and the staff were very friendly and always smiling. Breakfast was very good, a large and plentiful supply of cereals, toast, yoghurts, fruit, hard boiled eggs, jams, marmalades, fruit juices and tea and coffee were available. The lift was a bit slow and we were on the 6th floor, we used the stairs alot of the time as they were quicker and we are all for keeping fit!! We got a parking space with no problem and did not mind paying £6 for the pleasure as it was so convenient. Only complaint would be the lift, there are 2 and only one was in use.

The design and where it was located. The hotel staff on arrival were rude. The cleanliness of the room was awful, hairs all over the bathroom floor, bits/hair all over the main bedroom area. We have stayed at this hotel various times before but after this latest trip we won't be staying again. You now have to pay £6 aday parking when in the past it has been free. So really your not saving anything from using this hotel.

Rooms were nice, tv and good facilities, no issues, 24hr Bar, very pleasent and helpfull staff, would definately stay again, very close to centre of Cardiff city. Very resonable rates. Nothing that I didnt like, only an observation-just there are very limited parking spaces supplied by the hotel which is first come first serve, was lucky to get the last one, although ncp car park next door, but very expensive.

The hotel is comfortable, clean and excellent value for money. It is ideally placed for seeing the city and shopping. The continental breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of cereals as well as bread to toast, boiled eggs, cheese and jams, yoghurt, croissants, danish pastries and fresh fruit. Parking was good value at £6 a night and we were able to leave the car until 3pm the next day. This is a no frills hotel but a great place to stay in the centre of Cardiff.

This hotel has just two good things: The staff is very friendly The location is good. It was a very bad experience for us. We were first allocated in a room in which we found two big spiders between the glasses of the window, so, we asked for a new room. The new room was bigger, and it seemed to be roughly clean; however, a couple of hours later at least four big spiders came out (again between the glasses of the window) so we asked immediately for our money back and we left the hotel. It must be said that the staff is very friendly, they gave us our money back immediately, but this hotel has serious problems with spiders and it also needs an urgent update because most of the things look dirty and old.
