The style of both the caravan and Billy's field is gorgeous and unique. It was so much better than staying in just another chain hotel. The outdoor shower wasn't as cold as I was expecting! Fire pit is a lovely touch.
A source of power down in the field would have been great but in some ways it was nice to be free of phones etc!
Vintage caravan was gorgeous and little touches second to none. The host was great! Very helpful and made us feel comfortable!
Nothing. It was perfect!
The location of the site is in such a lovely and tranquil spot that it isn't so hard to imagine travelling there with a bunch of friends to just spend the weekend camping, having a barbecue, a few drinks and a bit of a dance around the camp fire! And despite it feeling rurally remote - the taxi companies were prompt, reasonably priced and took us to and from the bowl in less than 10 minutes! It all felt very friendly, welcoming and communal.
I went alone as the person I was attending a concert with dropped out at the last minute. The tent was huge (2 double beds and plenty of space) which is no bad thing - but because I went alone - I did feel the price was a little on the high side. This is likely a minor grumble because the owner did say the price included a 2nd night. Still, I would have liked 1 or 2 more onsite facilities - an easier to work stove and perhaps a bowl of cereal. Minor, minor stuff.
Campsite, tent and decore were good.
I was expecting to have the bed done in the 2nd day, for the price i payed.
Basket of emergency supplies! Staff friendly and helpful but also let's you get on with your weekend. Comfortable stay. Like the fact that there's electricity to charge phones, do hair etc
Not able to shower Would have liked to know about leisure centre and BBQ etc before hand.
A lovely location and the bell tents were nice enough but not a luxurious as we were expecting. The owner was friendly and made us welcome. Great spot but not worth the money.
We've been to festivals in the past where the yurts have really been luxurious and the price wasn't far off what we paid at BillyOneHorn. There was nothing luxury about it other than the fact that there were mattresses and the beds were made nicely. There was no wash facilities, just one portaloo between 6 tents and a caravan. For £190 for one night, I'd definitely not return.
Very unique tents, vintage style. Nice and secluded. Big fire pit, access to BBQ etc. Tea, coffee, water supplied. Would highly recommend this lovely place.
Only downside is the facct there there are no shower facilities, however the owner was very helpful in giving us directions to where we could go to get one.
