This must be the best value in hotels. It is a pleasant old house with bedrooms simply, but well appointed including heated towelrails and electric blankets. Very courteous host and his wife with good breakfast and excellent dinner if ordered earlier in the day. Car parking is easy

Friendly, competent management and staff. Food and room were commendable. Happy to return, which is the most precise recommendation. Did not have time to sample the evening meal, but the menu's promise was almost certainly borne out. Nothing............happy to stay again and also to recommend.

It was easy to contact and arrange my booking. The room was always clean and tidy. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the house beautifully presented. I didn't use the lounge area. Parking was convenient. The room was very small. I discovered that ithe hotel was more expensive than some adjacent hotels. I would recommend it to people I thought could afford it and would appreciate the ambiance.

The welcome was genuine and the people were very kind. I am an elderly lady on my own and I found the food excellent and the staff were very kind and helpful. The owners were exceptionally caring and welcoming. They provided me with all sorts of information on hwat to do and where to go. The theatre being nearby was very useful and there was plenty of entertainment locally if you wanted it. The evening meals were exceptional , and the fish fantastic. There is a very good train and bus service if one required them.

“Maggi and Jim are the perfect hosts. The setting is gorgeous and the house is delightful. The service comes with a big smile and the breakfast is delicious. I had never been to Scotland before and I would recommend Wellwood and Pitlochry to anyone. There is loads to do in the village and surrounding area. The people are warm and friendly. The theatre is a real treat and only 10 minutes walk away. ” Jane, Basingstoke |
