Close to the national coach station and the city centre, staff is really nice and helpful!! very comfy common room with a strong wifi signal. it was my second stay here and i'll deffo be back soon :)
wifi didn't work in my room, only one shower for a couple of rooms :(
I stayed here because I had to get to the airport very early on in the morning and there was nowhere cheap to stay there. It was fine here, most people were quiet.
Exvellent place for the money - £26 for single room inclusive of continental brakkfast. Generally clean and comfortable accommodation but shared bathrooms could do with some upgrading.
Nothing to dislike about it at price paid.
Lovely staff quite impressed. Nice environment of the lounge.
Sometimes cleaning is a bit issue
- price was OK - showers were OK - close to city centre & bars - friendly staff & fellow travellers
- area is not the nicest - beds not really comfortable -not complaining oveall
Not far away from city center, nice staff, clean basic room
Located in an area with (iIlegal?) rave parties until 6 A.M. on weekends. I had booked for 2 nights but moved to another hotel after the first because it was impossible to sleep.
I enjoyed the fact that we had a free breakfast in the morning. (Fruit and bread with jam/nutella/peanut butter) They lend you a towel for free when having a shower. The other people staying at this hostel were nice and educated. Many of them were university students like myself.
The beds are uncomfortable. But I expected them to be so, since it is a cheap hostel. Be careful not to leave your personal towel on your bed because the stuff will think that it's theirs and they will take it. I never got mine back. But this was not a big deal to me.
Staff was not that friendly. Pillows and blankets didn't look clean at all. Kitchen was dirty too. There were no lockers available and not so much space in the room for the luggage. I would not come back to same hostel.
Staff is very friendly, rooms have normal windows and many plugs, comfortable sofas and tables in the common room, and you can have variable continental breakfast from 8 to 11 and tea/cofee for free at any time there
Dark, gloomy street, clinging beds, water in some showers is nearly cold. Also it would be better if they didn't leave the fire exit door open all the time for the sake of smokers who need to go to the inner yard through it. It's really freezing in the common room sometimes. And music there can be too loud. Plus, despite smoking and drinking in the rooms and corridors is prohibited, the smell of marijuana is sometimes fairly distinctive, so they should control it better!
Good location and cheap. Single rooms and female only dormitories available. Alcohol not allowed in the sleeping areas so no groups of intimidating drunk men hanging around these areas as you get in some places. Set in a melancholy post-industrial landscape (some people might not like this).
Room rather cold. Woken by people talking at 2am.
Good opportunity to talk to other people of a similar age.
Location, very nice staff, wifi.
Towels, even though washed, stinked after making them wet. Please change them for new ones!
strong wifi signal throughout staff was helpful full kitchen facilities hot drinks aplenty enclosed parking facility!!! yes! very nice setting at the lounge
location is in too quiet part of town at night, if walking alone
Cheap Central location Can heat up your own food Good opening hours Free breakfast/tea/coffee
Shower - cycled randomly between ice and scalding your skin off! No hot water in the kitchen TV not work Definitely bring your own sheet or sleeping bag if you are squeamish Bathroom not very clean
trafic close to the hostle but you cant complain about that because thats what happens when you are in a busy city center on a weekend
Breakfast of toast and jam and tea included.
Rude staff/receptionist. Bed was bumpy with springs sticking out from under and a massive depression in the middle. The whole place was rundown and dirty. Paid £40 for a single room even though I booked a twin.
Wifi access in our room was decent enough. Room was quite big. Duvets were comfy.
Only one power socket in room. Taps were dodgy. Some light bulbs were out so the room was a bit dark. The staff member on reception was the most miserable guy I've ever met! Couldn't crack a smile to save his life! The 'continental breakfast' consisted of a couple of Tesco Value loaves on the reception table next to a toaster and a few spreads. The decor was old and crumbling, but they did actually put notices up apologising for that. It's good enough if you just want a bed and somewhere to dump your bag whilst on a night out and too drunk to care, like we were..
Great communal areas and facilities. Nice secure parking. Sleep pods are great for a good nights sleep.
Lots of noise from neighbouring business at 5am. Inconsiderate room-mates on first night.
Cheap, friendly staff, wifi.
Small bedrooms, very noisy location (need ear plugs), not the cleanest, lack of storage space. They also have a lot of long term residents who need to move out of a room when other paying guests come in so I was made to feel a little unwelcome in the room due to this.
Cleaness, location, bathrooms
Wi-Fi does not have a good sign in the apartments, staff a bit rude, the city is not good for tourism
the place is clean and confortable!
- great location to explore Birmingham city - friendly staff
- Wifi-quality could be better - more information on how to arrive at or depart from CBP (bus, train etc.) could be provided
Exceptional value for money, relaxed atmosphere and some of the friendliest staff I've ever met. Free WiFi in every area, as well as a projector for large screen viewing of films/games.
The toilets had a paper dispenser rather than an air-dryer. Kitchen is rather small considering the amount of people staying at any one point.
The staff was excellent. I booked for 2 nights but I had to leave after a night. The staff sorted any refunds.
The beds are creaky Felt really uncomfortable...itchy and the linen was dirty
