Excellent location at a very good price for a Friday night. Despite overlooking a very busy city centre road, there was no significant noise intrusion.Very handy secure parking immediately behind hotel.

Do not be fooled when arriving at the building by the outer state of the property all rooms newly renovated. Rather nice hotel close to the New Street station just close enough to walk to all the sites but far enough away to avoid all the noise.

Check in was quick and easy, and I had a fantastic large room. Room was clean and comfortable and had a very pleasant and enjoyable time staying here. One of the things I particuarly like about this hotel is its closeness to New Street station, (literally 5 - 10 min walk away) Would definetly stay here again, when I next go to Birmingham for a weekend.

Very powerful shower, warm comfortable room, wooden doors rather than curtains kept all the light and noise out. Good budget hotel. Room could have been a bit cleaner.

Central loacation to theatre land made the stay so easy for our theatre trip. Convenient to plenty of parking and all the shopping areas. The buffet breakfast could have been excellent except for poor attention to detail. Piles of cold plates stacked next to warning about hot plates from warmer, none in warmer! Fried eggs were all cooked hard! The breakfast tarrif is not cheap and you would expect better service for price.

The location was great as it was near to the Arcadian, Bull Ring and New Street Station. The room was clean, modern, stylish and spacious. Also liked the fact that there was an iron with an ironing board in the room. The variety of radio channels on the TV was limited, as I like to listen to music before going out for the evening.

A very enjoyable stay, although it was only one night.Except for the reason below. I left my iphone charging lead behind in the room. I realised this on reaching home. I phoned the number shown on the booking form. An answer phone message said that he had gone on a/L. It gave another number which I phoned several times only to get another recorded message stating that the number cannot be answered and I could not leave a message. So to contact the hotel by phone was not possible. I have had to purchase a lead costing me £22.95, so I am not best pleased with my stay!

We booked the Holiday Inn due to travelling to Birmingham for a night out with friends. The hotel is in an excellent location and is around a 3/5 min walk from areas such as the Bull ring, New Street Station and the Arcadian. We parked just to the right of the entrance and 24 hrs cost £14.50. Check in was quick and simple and the rooms were well decorated and very clean. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but inside it is very nice. Only minor issues with the hotel is that for some reason the key cards to our room seems to only want to open the door occasionally which meant we spent a good minute putting the card in and out each time we wanted to open the door. The other issue was that the shower in our room seemed to die in the evening when it was turned onto even slightly warm which meant having to use the shower on cold for the rest of the shower. No problem with this in the morning however the shower worked fine.

Perfect location - we travelled by train and the hotel was 5 minutes walk from New Street station. We then went out for food and drinks-10 minutes walk to the Mailbox which was fab for choice of restaurants and bars. The next day breakfast was on until 11am so plenty of time for a lie-in. Check out at 12 was also a bonus. We then stored our bags at reception for free while spending the day shopping at the Bullring, 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The only thing I would say is remember to put the door hanger on to say do not disturb as we had housekeeping knock on the door 3 times from 9am onwards. But would stay again, great location and great price with breakfast included. Would recommend.

*) only a few minutes to walk to the city centre, the main railway station and the shopping area, *) some really good restaurants at the "Mailbox" Building which is also only a few minutes to walk, *) Good breakfast for extra cost (in my opinion a little bit too expensive but anyway good) *) Free WiFi everywhere in the hotel (only negative thing was that we had a very bad connection in the room);
