I love the staff more then anything! The second I enter the hotel the staff are just wonderful not only meeting my expectations but exceeding them. They are incredibly helpful, for example giving me directions or tourism advice and they are really happy and enthusiastic, this goes out to of the staff there. The rooms are clean and the added bonus on the air conditioning is fantastic. I also love the spa and swimming pool very clean . The hotel is also situated In the heart of Birmingham with bus links close by!
Paying for WiFi. It's a complete joke you have to pay for WiFi, I visit a lot of hotels all year round in my line of business, and this is the first to not offer WiFi for free. But that's really my only complaint
Your wonderful front of house staff 100%. Courtesy helpful and well informed.
Slime and dirt around pool area even the hand rail was disgusting. The steam room was dirty. Needs a power clean. I think if Environmental health came in you would get a slap on the hand. Your reception staff in the Spa also lacked basic knowledge on your treatments.
roadworks at 0830 disturbing the peace morning paper not delivered
Bed comfortable Good Breakfast Toiletries pleasant Clothes storage good
Noise outside the room Another guest knocking the door at 8.30am!
Referring to what i did not like, the 2 problems i encountered were swiftly resolved by the reception staff being informed
I had problems with the bathroom sink and there had not been any soap placed in the bathroom. Private taxi's were not welcome to approach the main entrance?
Everything especially your pillows!!
Not having a mini fridge.
The room was spacious and cleaned daily, the leisure facilities were open early until late, it wasn't far from some restaurants and the cinema. The staff were very helpful.
The pool was smaller than I expected and not heated as stated. The gym was very small.
The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was awesome. The staff were friendly and passionate about their roles and the hotel. Lots of nice touches such as a happy anniversary card and chocolates on pillow.
Comfy bed, good sized room and bathroom. Quiet, clean and friendly. Good thick curtains so outside light didn't get through.
Not enough towels. Only one bottle of water. Somewhere to put the suitcases while we unpacked would have been handy.
comfortable, well maintained
poor restaurant service - not enough staff due to wedding
Stayed overnight, before leaving our son at the University of Birmingham!
Having to pay for parking at the hotel. Thought this would be included when you stay.
I stayed at this hotel for a business trip and needed some documents printed out. I chose this hotel because it was mentioned that it had a business centre - It didn't. I had to ask staff to print out my documents by sending an email. When I went to pick up my documents, the lady at the front desk kept me waiting for 20 mins because the receptionist who printed them out wasn't there and she didn't know where he put the printouts. Eventually she plonked her hand down on her desk and found them under her hands. She didn't bother to have a look around, and instead of using more time to prepare for my business meeting, I stuck around waiting for this woman to plonk down her hands. - In the evening I decided to have dinner at the restaurant. The food was salty and inedible - Then I went to go to chill out at the hot tub after a hard day. There were unattended kids being loud and obnoxious with nobody attending the pool or sending the kids out of this supposedly relaxing area - I went to have a shower in my room. The water pressure was unacceptable and non-existent. - I stayed an extra night at the hotel to recover from my stressful meeting and have a lie in the next morning. 6am, the tv spontaneously switched on and played movie trailers loudly, waking me up. - The location of the hotel is inconvenient and there are no easily accessible eateries anywhere nearby. All in all I had a horrible experience in this hotel.
Parking extremely overpriced
All was very good in general.
Having to telephone reception for a toilet roll first thing in the morning when room had been serviced day before. No spin machine available in pool changing rooms and heated towel rail in room not on so wet swimsuit for next day. Mistake with final bill. Parking charges high. Beds a bit hard.
staff were really nice
Room was comfortable. Convenient location Staff very helpful
Not familier with Birmingham so found it a bit difficult to get to.
bedroms and bathrooms were of a avery high standard
Food in the bar/restaurant was disappointing
The size and attractiveness of my room.
Rather restricted menu - particularly at lunch
Pool quite small jacuzzi was warm beds food was great
Pool was small drinks very expensive and beds hard
Comfortable bed and an assortment of pillows. Good breakfast with choice and variety and an egg station.
No wifi in room with out paying £14.95 but free wifi in bar and restaurant so you have to pay in other ways. Room small, noisy location, restaurant offers limited choice menu. Not five star
Check in staff very efficient and pleasant Gorgeous suite Excellent quality of food in restaurant All staff extremely pleasant and helpful
There was nothing to dislike
From the minute you check in this hotel exudes class and customer service. Easy disabled parking. The ease with which they switched my room to meet my needs was impressive and faultless. I was a returning guest and was delighted to be so.
The fact that I am unable to stay again on 16th September (1 night) at a rate I am able to afford. I paid £91.50 this visit but am being offered a rate of £241.50 (including parking) for the night of 16th. Way, way out of my league so will have to look elsewhere.
Breakfast was very nice.
Parking charges are expensive, should be free parking like other hotels.
Executive rooms beds were lovely and a good nights sleep. The chef making the omelettes/waffles excellent. Very good location for what we needed. Swimming pool/gym very good.
Breakfast food not replenished quick enough..no clean glasses for fruit juice, sausages/bacon ran out for ages, cutlery on tables not enough, Car Park - as paying for space should be able to prebook one, had to double park and risk someone else parking car, not happy about that, should be made aware of this prior to visit.
