I chose this hotel, because it was close to were my relatives live, as I was there for a funeral. Was disapointed with the hotel. Was met in reception but was not very friendly. All facilities were closed for renovation. Room very dated. They had tea/cofee in room but no milk when I went down next morning to organise a taxi no one at reception message left to leave keys on reception on way out. Then when I was looking for a hair dryer non to be found and no one at reception to ask no facilities for breakfast so we were left to a black coffee or tea in our room.

There was a heater by the toilet and coathangers in the wardrobe. It was shabby and very run down - the freehold is up for sale. Although it said there was a bar and restaurant there was no breakfast or food or drink available except for tea and coffee in the room. The bed was uncomfortable and creaked. The hotel is on a main road and the traffic was very noisy. The nearest place to eat was about a mile away and that was a busy pub which only sold Indian food.

Run down, no breakfast though advertised as available. Dirty room, damaged bedclothes. I will be making a formal complaint to yourselves and to the aa who rated this as two star. The worst place I have ever stayed in.

The helpfulness of the staff! I wasnt told about the restaurant being closed and as a young lady traveling alone i felt vulnerable about going out to eat in a city that i had never been to before

Location. I always look for positive things in people and places. So sorry, but the minute I entered the room, I desprately tried to open a window. The bed was creaky and the noise of the fan in next room was like the aeroplane taking off. I live near Heathrow. I understand the Hotel is being refurbished, £48 for a night was a joke considering the state it was in. No milk for a desprately need coffee. The only good thing was I was allowed to cancel the stay for another night.

Got to the hotel and greeted by Sam the owner was very welcoming had gone to Birmingham to see the Take That concert at villa park I had mentioned this when I booked and had sorted out means to get to villa park in the end we opted for a taxi which the hotel rang for us. Room was lovely and clean tea and coffee facilities was no milk sachets but when went to reception to tell them this Sam informed me that in the summer the milk turns in them so got me fresh milk jug out the fridge from behind reception . Shower very powerful and warmed up quickly a very nice place to stay also has own parking so saved money on that too .
