high quality room and breakfast at a fair price. We are are able to take the dog without any fuss so have now been many times to enjoy the walking and facilities around Dunkeld.Always go for the Birnam Hotel if it is available.

As an ex fire inspecter-the constant wedged open fire door on first floor of main stair. The very jumpy lift.

We loved where the hotel is located, the food was really good especially the steak pie! The staff were very friendly!

Ambience, location and spaciousness. Staff were helpful and pleasant but unobstrusive. Breakfast was good too.

Evening meal menu was limited with no real option for vegetarians. Clearly the hotel relies on their Italian restaurant next door which is fair enough except we were looking for some Scottish fare. We dined elsewhere in the town.

Lovely location, friendly staff, excellent food in the bar as well as breakfast. Super room.

the room was nice and well thought out, the bathroom has a good shower and facilities were clean and cared for considering it is an old building. Breakfast could have been better, i hate toast machines with a passion and they have one!

I didn't like having to pack up at 7.30 at night to be moved to another hotel due to a main water burst, but that was not the hotel's fault just one of those things.

Very poor bathroom Scuffed carpet in door way No working ventilation Alwful smell from drains Dirty and broken shower screen plastic strip Dirty walls holes in wall where toilet roll holder used to be. Dirty marked paintwork side of bath and side of wash hand basin. absolute disgrace. Dusty wardrobe never been cleaned out.

I didn't expect it to be that great a hotel but it was perfect for a comfotrable bed and room for the night.

The location.

The hotel was very cold and the bathroom was not up to standard. The shower leaked and was very slow.
