York Dungeon (Kerker / 2,2 km) - Erleben Sie mehr als 2000 Jahre Geschichte. Mit einer Ausstellung über die Pestjahre in Europa und einer Ausstellung über die Plündernden Wikinger.
Korvik Viking Center (2,5 km) - Hier wird die reiche Wikingergeschichte von York mit über 100 Ausstellungstücken dargestellt. Besucher können sogar auf den rekonstruierten Wikingerstraßen von damals (vor ca. 1000 Jahren) flanieren und so einen Eindruck von der damaligen Architektur bekommen.

schöner Speisesaal, eleganter Eingangsbereich, gepflegte und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete Räume. Kleiner Wintergarten mit Auswahl verschiedener Getränke, sehr angenehm. Leider kein Parkplatz für unser Auto, da bereits alle vorhandenen Plätze belegt waren. |

The front ground floor room is great - I liked the bedroom size and two comfortable easy chairs, although the bathroom is small by comparison The ground floor bedroom suffers from lack of noise reduction as traffic noise is high, particularly when conditions outside are wet.The conservatory is tight for space but is a reasonable addition. Breakfast from 8.00am is not good and at least 7.30am would be a big improvement. Staff were good in providing a continental breakfast, but unbeknown to me this had to be booked before 8.30pm the night before I arrived. Also the charge of 5% for payment by visa is unacceptable, but this was waived for me. |

We didn't do much, as although I stated I had a 1 year old baby, they located us in a suite which was only slightly bigger than a double room and on the fouth floor, there was no lift, so I had to carry all the luggage (3 cases, a travel cot and baby essentials) up four flights of stairs. when I asked why we were put on the top floor we were told a 17 year old did the booking and would not have thought, I did ask to be moved but was told it was full. As above, we had to move the furniture around so I could put the travel cot up and it took me over 2 hours to settle my son to sleep on all nights as the room wasn't bigger enough to be able to sit with the lights on and put him to sleep, He normally goes off to sleep straight away at home. We booked this hotel as it stated it was family friendly. I disagree! |

The hotel had a lot of character and they went out of their way to provide everything a family could need and were very keen to meet your needs. No - we really liked it. |

we enjoyed our stay at bishops the room was nice and good beds infact every thing you needed but see below our room was very cold the heating only worked now and again try to speak to the owners but they do not live in site. |

Suite had large comfortable rooms which were always warm. Hotel was exceptionally clean throughout. Breakfasts were very good. Hotel staff were welcoming and polite. Being able to park the car at the hotel was very much a plus for accommodation in York!! Breakfast finish at 9am was a little early.......10am would have been prefered. |

Breakfast was excellent at the Bishops. Comfortable rooms, very homely. The room we stayed in did not have a bath, which made cleaning my 22 month old son troublesome. Room was also on the top floor with no lift. |

The staff were very helpfull, and told us about all the most popular tourist atractions and how to get there either using public transport or by foot. When advertised as a licenced B & B you expect maybe a small bar, not a mini fidge in a very small conservatory! |

It's close to the city centre and in a nice location. Some of the staff don't seem to cope well with people from diverse ethnic backrounds and it reflected in their communicational and interpersonal skills. |

The Bishops hotel is in a very good location, with only a 10 minute walk into the centre. The breakfasts were very nice and faciliites extremely clean. Definately good value for money!! |

Stayed on business the first night then pleasure for the next two days. The breakfast was excellant and the service was good. The hotel did not have an evening dinning service or bar, however therewas a pub nearby and another hotel close that served non resident evening meals although they were expensive. |
