Staff and rooms excellent location was expected to be noisey not for anyone looking for a peaceful stay
LOud music Friday Saturday nights over our bedroom
No Food served in the evening but plenty of selection in the town
Great rooms but we stayed Friday night and noise from people going home late at night via ginnel under rooms was unpleasant.
Good location and good breakfast.
Very small tv and really noisy at night ,single glazed windows in the rooms don't help.
Handy for the shops
We stayed on a Saturday night the thumping music from the bar below didn't stop untill gone midnight then the noise from the revellers from the nightclub behind continued until 4am keeping us awake for the best part of the night
Great location. We were on the first floor so did hear the bar noise until close time. And no fault of the Black Bull but because of the perfect location, you get quite a lot of noise from people walking home after a night out! But a very pleasant stay and beautiful breakfast! Will definitely stay again.
Price i paid was bargain Staff really helpful size of room (twin ) was very good bed was comfortable location central to Northallerton shops pubs etc breakfast was very good
some of areas a bit dated bathroom particularly
loud music in the bar
reception could be a bit more private for late arrivals as one has to use the bar
Shower was a bit asthmatic television to small
Staff were pleasant and breakfast was nice.
Wifi connection was poor in room at front and don't stay on Tuesday night as market day on Wednesday and they noisily set up at 5.30am.
location .right on the high street. very good .breakfast full english.spot on.market day saturday.
car park is on the small side.but we still got parked .late friday night.
Enjoyable stay. Rooms were very comfortable and well decorated. The facilities were good and the breakfast was very nice. The location is brilliant, central to the town and close to everything. Parking to the rear which was a bit tricky due to narrow space but free non the less.
Maybe not so good if you want a quiet stay. As we were out until quite late the noise didn't bother us.
Chang of room to front
the first room giving over look kitchen and barking Terrier
Best night's sleep on our travels! Lovely room, comfy bed and lovely breakfast
The clean towels and toiletries were very good plus the lay out of the tea & coffee making.
I was not told about how to get in when when I arrived back at 10oclock everything was locked up. In the morning he cook and his assistant were having a fag. They could have bleached around the shower and surrounding area, toilet seat needs replacing. I was not offerd Wi-Fi
Staff and location
Dog poo in the Backyard. Noise at 3am from the taxi rank
The whole experience was very enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed . The staff did not give the impression that it's just a job.
The fact that it has two stars.we were abit wary because of this but as soon as we booked in these were soon dispelled.
The staff where friendly the breakfast was great the room was very spacious and clean would stay again
Alot of noise outside during the night but you staying in a pub which is busy so its to be expected maybe better if they got double glazed windows
Great Breakfast, great location and friendly staff, very comfortable room
The size of the room, beds were very comfortable, everything was clean, breakfast was nice
Traffic kept me awake all night, if I stayed again I would ask for a room in the back of the building. Tv was too small for the size of the room and the WiFi was rubbish but I can use my phone as a hotspot.
very friendly staff, excellent meals, great value for money
not a huge issue but the TV was a bit dated and reception poor
Good quality bed linen and towels. Very comfy bed. Excellent breakfast.
No shower head over bath for hair washing.
The room was very dusty and dirty mould in shower noisy ,smells from kitchen, the food was not cooked and my scramble egg had black bits in from the pan. Noisy from the alley underneath room 4 , people banging doors and shouting most of the night think the whole place needs the hotel inspector as they would shut it down . We was meant to stay for week stayed 1 night but had to pay for two!!!
Beds we're comfy Location is great. Staff friendly. I liked the market day but setting up was noisy at 5am
Market day and the noise at 4.30am. Wifi did not work in room but I sat on step outside. No worries!
