The warm welcome i received from Julie; how my room was lovely and warm. The breakfast i had both days and the conversation i had with my fellow guests.
The location of the guest house; it was too far away from the NEC.
£120.00 per night bed and breakfast for two was rather expensive
Warm friendly atmosphere . Location . The breakfast ( mushrooms in butter ) . The bed. The Two wonderful Sisters If you are lucky enough to get a room here It will make your visit to the NEC even better
There was absolutely nothing o dislike
There was nothing to fault about the accommodation and staff. Extremely helpful and pleasant. Could not have asked for more.
No fault of the accommodation but I had a bad evening trying to find somewhere to eat. Even though Julie had booked me a pub 10 minutes away an hour later I was not half way there!! Turned back and went into nearest village for a takeaway. It would have been ideal if there was somewhere to eat within walking distance.
Convinient location near the airport and the NEC, Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. The complementary Cofee.Tea sets in the room.
These days we need to continue working in the evenings or even at nights. In the rooms we got, we had two beds that filled th entire space , no room for a desk or a chair , you cannot do anything but lie on your bed... Sorry, but it does not suit my needs as a traveling business man.
Everything . We received a friendly welcome. Room was very clean. Plenty of storage. Beds were clean and so comfortable. There was a choice of pillows. I had a better nights sleep than I do at home!! Shower very clean and soft towels provided. There is a TV in room or a huge one in lounge. Free WiFi and parking. Breakfast, a full English, was cooked as you wished. There was also a choice of cereal, yogurt,or fresh fruits while breakfast was being cooked. Dining room was clean and bright and there is a huge garden. Nothing was too much trouble for Julie and Tracey, the hosts. It was their aim to ensure we were happy.Julie even arranged for an armchair to be put in my room for my comfort as I am disabled. Room was on second floor but I was able to manage the short flight of stairs, I use crutches. Highly recommend this guest house.First class, 10 out of 10. Will certainly be going there again. Very close to NEC
Owners and staff very friendly and did all they could to make our stay a good one. Lovely atmosphere and great breakfast. All in all a great find for a short stay.
Nothing all good
staff breakfast room ameneties
The location is close to the LG arena and Taxi is cheap from and too. The Landlady Julie is absolutely fantastic, so friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Breakfast was delicious and perfectly sized even for a vegetarian.
There was nothing we could fault with the service, surroundings and location. Julie makes you feel so welcome you at instantly at home.
Comfortable beds Friendly welcome
The Friendly welcome.
Room was a little small but very clean. Guest came back late and were very noisy on the landing
Beautifully spotless house with lovely facilities. The owners give you the personal touch by remembering and using your names throughout. Very friendly and to top it off a fantastic breakfast. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
Lovely place to stay would book again stayed with my mum we had a lovely stay staff was helpful didn't want for anything
This was an excellent guest house which I would recommend. Owner was very friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms were comfortable and had everything anyone would need.
There was nothing I didnt like
When I pulled up I had my reservations, however the staff, the beds, the rooms had everything you required and the breakfast was amazing!!
Very clean, delicious breakfast, very accommodating hosts and very close to the NEC. Overall a very comfortable stay for a business trip.
everything - the owners were so nice and kind, I received a very warm wellcome and was really surprised with a nice room with a garden view. Even if the room was bit smaller than I´m used to, it was so nicely decorated and the bed was so comfortable and spotless clean, so that I will definitely return again. Very quiet place. Amazing breakfast. There is also a lot of parking space infront of the hotel.
Nothing with relation to the hotel itself. Only that the dining possibilities is approx 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel (but you can have a taxi for 5 GPB), so it is not an disadvantage at all.
The owners and staff were excellent. What a great place to stay!
A lovely place to stay, really friendly staff and superb breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms and beds, great breakfasts.
The rooms at the front of the property can be a little noisy from passing traffic when you have the windows open on warm nights.
Lovely comfy room. Was fine for single traveller, would have been snug for two. Lots of little extras e.g. nail kit, dental kit, hand cream. Good selection of teas in room, offer of fresh fruit on arrival. Delicious hot breakfast and huge choice of jams and marmalades. Breakfast room looks out onto garden, so relaxing start to morning. Large car park.Perfect for NEC as so close and easy to drive there. Very friendly hosts.
Couldn't pick up Wifi, did not raise with host as not essential for 1 night stay, sure this would have been sorted if I'd asked!
Handy location, really clean and well appointed room. Comfy beds, lovely staff, tasty breakfast that catered for my gluten free diet. Will definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Thank you, Julie and Tracey for your very kind and warm hospitality. Black Firs was a gem of a find and so near to the NEC. The room, beds and breakfast and the ambience was superb. We enjoyed eating our pasties on the patio on the evening of our arrival so relaxing after a long drive. Will certainly come back again
