Location - centre of town History of building Good customer service On-site parking
noisy at night with customers and locals drinking outside in the courtyard
Welcome and ease of access to room. Car park an asset. Breakfast prompt service and hot . Would stay again.
Wifi access not good, but not a problem .
Quaint coaching inn. Pleasant hard working staff. Good full-English breakfast.
Room was very good and clean, bathroom also clean but needs to be modernised. Coasters for drinks?
Friendly staff and good facilities
Staff very. Friendly. And helpful room had all that we needed bed very comfy lily white bedding and towels stayed half board food superb the hotel manager even let us leave car in car park for a few hours after checkout will be defiantly be going back
Excellent position in the centre of Devises. Friendly atmosphere, definitely a country town pub and not a fancy hotel and all the better for it. Determined attempt by the landlady to talk us into a giant fresh cooked breakfast, a reduced version was outstanding. Good restaurants and (other) good pubs in abundance in the brewery town that is Devizes.
Nothing worthy of complaint.
Convenient location, friendly staff.
Shower fitting broken. An Iron secuirty grille placed across middle of bar lounge area at 1030pm to close off bar while residents were still using it.
No Bath mat. Plug not fitting basin. second floor accomodation and we are elderly but nobody asked about that
The young girl on reception was friendly and helpul on arrival.
Very over priced for what we received. In 15 weeks of travel in UK and Europe, it was the worst value for money place we stayed in. Breakfast selection very poor, from burnt toast to no cereal selection on offer. Leaking tap never fixed in 3 days and noisy smokers under window were not pleasant at night. Never again.
Clean.Comfortable.good location.Free on-site parking.Wi-fi. Good breakfast
All a bit tired really and not great value - but we didn't have breakfast, which another guest told us 'was very good.'
Good location in the centre of Devizes.
Breakfast excellent: bacon rashers of decent thickness; the full monty would keep one going till evening. Beds comfortable and linen spotless. Rooms in excellent decorative order. Ironing facilities in every room. Secure parking. Staff friendly and informed.
Access to car-park not obvious.
lovely big clean room and large bathroom
breakfast.....burnt toast, under cooked eggs, long wait
Great cooked breakfast very friendly helpful staff
Decor was bit tired and bathroom in need of a revamp - lack of wifi and noise from outside if windows were open in the bedroom was not great
car park useful - room reasonable size - very clean and good food and beer.
our bed was a very small double
The bed linen all seemed clean and the breakfast was nice.
The location meant that in middle of the night be were woken by drunken people in the street below having a fight with lots of swearing and shouting.
Only a one night stop over, and very enjoyable. Friendly staff, good food, nice room.
Can't think of anything particular.
Nice olde world feel. Good breakfast, staff friendly. Good location in the centre of town
Car park very difficult to find pending new signage. Difficult to navigate from the car park to the front door entrance at night, the gate is heavy to open+cant be shut easily behind you
Owners were welcoming and really hard working.breakfast was good.
Very poor access to room on second floor necessitating climbing very narrow and steep spiral staircase. At 75 plus this was unacceptable. Wouldn't have thought health and safety would approve. Grubby carpets in public areas.
It was good value for money. Good full English in the morning.
The manager avoided all eye contact on check in which was odd. The room was nice but small. No bathmat and the bathroom was tiny.
That it was so central
Friendly staff. Excellent food. Efficient
It's rather jaded.
Very enjoyable stay once again, friendly staff and excellent service . Great accommodation and excellent food .
Not being able to park our car because of an auction taking place . Paying to stay all day in a council car park after driving around for ages in the morning we eventually found a space .Later in the day we managed to get into the Black Swan Car Park at last .
