It was easy to book, incredible value, friendly and helpful staff, the meal we had in the bar in the evening was brilliant, freshly cooked food and lovely lemon merangue pie!!! Bar staff particulary kind and professional. Our room was warm and comfy - good tv, great shower, complimentary soap but take your own shampoo etc - incredible value.

Can't recommend highly enough. Accomodation Is in little chalets which were very quiet and emaculate. So close to Cambridge and very well priced. Stay here and you won't be disappointed. A Gem! Simple question to answer. Nothing!!!

Room was clean and comfortable, the price was, in my opinion, excellent and therefore some of the negatives can be forgiven. Disapointed that there was no food service on a Sunday night, nowhere else to eat in village, either drive 10 miles to Cambridge, or next village had decent sit in Indian, have to go to Cambridge if you don't like Indian cuisine! Accomodation borders car park for pub so I guess could be pretty noisy some nights, ok Sundays as bar closes at 10pm. Would have been nice had there been some shower gel etc in room, just one tiny bar of soap.

I have been coming here for years, it is so friendly. The food, beer and company are excellent. The staff go out of their way to help. Whenever in the area I always stay here. The Black Rock food is excellent, really enjoyed the springbok Some form of computer desk would be useful in the room

I thought it was a lovely place with good food, excellent service but a particularly cosy room and very comfortable bed. It was ideally situated for my needs and was recommended by someone who lives close by. Overall, if I ever need to stay up in that area again, I would have no hesitations in using it or recommending it to anyone else.

The staff, the food, the beers and the room price. All good. Wifi too. The shower room is too small, the toilet is very difficult to use.

The hotel was easy to find, in a very pleasant location. There was plenty of parking spaces, and the car could be seen from the room, as all the rooms are in the single story annex at the back of the hotel. We were shown to our room by the owner, who explained where to find everything. The room was nicely decorated , very clean and tidy. Breakfast was in the basket in the room !!! ( nice if you want breakfast in bed, or great to take with you, if like us you are travelling) We went into the hotel for an evening meal, which was very good. The bar was very busy. When we left I returned the key and paid the bill, the lady was very polite. There was information in the room, but it would have been nice to have a plan of the hotel and a menu. As we went into the left hand side of the hotel and ordered from the menu on the bar, it was not until the following day, when we were leaving, that we discovered there was a second bar ( on the right ) where food was being served and there was a more varied menu available.
