Score from 99 reviews Fabulous
The place and the people (the chef in particular) are great. The single issue that came up was fixed immediately.
The view, unobtrusive service, everything you need in room,.
All good except rooms not sound proofed , could hear everything going on .
Easy reach of South Stacks (birding). Generally a good place!
A minor point - Couldn't get Wi-fi to work via stupid Cloud system.
Attention to detail Friendly, helpful attitude of owner and all staff Efficient and speedy Check-In/Out Quiet Location Good food, well presented Parking close by Stunning views of landscape
Nothing not to like!!
Excellent location Comfy beds so great nights sleep
Shower cubicle hadn't been cleaned, there was hair from previous customers. Felt more like being in a caravan than cottage and thought a little over priced comparing to cottages stated in before.
Helpful and welcoming Easy car transfer between Ferry Terminal and Blackthorn Farm Well worth the slightly higher cost of overnight stay
nice location and good meals pleasant staff with sea views many thanks
location for walks along the cliffs quiet comfortable and clean rooms friendly staff easy parking
it's remote so your only dinner choices are take-away if they are not offering dinner at the Inn.
Excellent stay...Lovely room....Great breakfast...Very helpful people....Highly recommend
Cosy and private
Local pub would have been nice
Staff was great! Location was very private. Food at dinner and breakfast was super. Would stay again.
We had an incident. One of the other guests invited someone back to the B&B and up to their room. Yelling, pounding etc. at 4 AM. Staff in the morning was very, very apologetic, offered and adjusted bill because of disturbance.
First and foremost it was the location- rugged, but beautiful. The B&B facility is very good- they've thought of almost everything. Excellent tea/coffee facilities in our bedroom. The decor in the room was fresh and clean. Very good breakfast. Very friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.
Hardly anything that we didn't like. If I really wanted to nit pick, I would say that the shower door in our bathroom needs to open the other way- made getting out of the shower a little awkward- however that's just me-it may not bother other people.
A very pleasant short stay with the bonus of decent weather for cycling. Friendly staff and well set out and furnished room. Great breakfast and facilities for the price.
Everthing. We could not fault anything.
Friendliness of staff, location wonderful views of Treaddur Bay, amenities for travellers with access to kitchen and dining room at all times. Beautiful breakfast and beautiful clean rooms and grounds.
Nothing to dislike all wonderful
Staff very friendly, breakfast very well cooked and plenty of choice - great ingredients.
The bedroom was very small. There was no lounge and no where to sit outside though there was plenty of space. A bit of imginative landscaping and gardening wouln't come amiss. Seems to be unsure what kind of a place it is.
The accommodation was great and staff and owner couldn't have made us feel more welcome or at home. It is a truly beautiful spot overlooking the ocean. We would liked to have been able to stay longer than 3 days to explore the many walking paths that Anglesey has to offer.
Booked 3 days before last minute for a weekend away with a friend. Fabulous location with views across to Snowdonia and the rest of the island. Staff really friendly on arrival, rooms clean and well presented. Evening meal good value for money as was breakfast. Hopefully I'll be back in the future!
The friendliness and genuine care of the staff. Also lovely brown toast available at breakfast which is often a real luxury in B & Bs.
The new fire door made the use of the bathroom difficult in the middle of the night without disturbing other guests.
Beautiful views from the room. An extremly helpful staff. A warm welcome and good food. The suggestion that when we left we should ask the cab driver for a quick tour of the south side. It was breathtaking!
Having to leave
location, room size, service
Although food was excellent (evening and breakfast), the fridge in the restaurant was too noisy.
Fish and chips. Friendly staff. Easy access to Holyhead ferry
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food well cooked and delicious and the accommodation comfortable. Little extra details had been thought of such as delicious biscuits, still and sparkling water and hot chocolate on tea tray in room. Jugs of fresh milk available from fridge in dining room and fridge could be used for guests own items. Our room had a sofa and a dvd player. The farm is in a lovely setting. Some of us enjoyed a pre breakfast run. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great location right by South Stack. Friendly staff. Nice room. Free wifi was a nice bonus, so too the folder in each room with FAQs, information and takeaway menus.
The only negative from our stay was that we booked breakfast the night before for 9am but we had to wait until half past. In every other department Blackthorn excelled and we would definitely return.
Evening meals now available. Wonderful breakfasts. Nothing too much trouble. Being able to help yourself to more milk from downstairs fridge for room tea coffee.
Only slight problem was single beds mattresses were a bit uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. A mattress topper like on double bed would have solved this.
