Room in the cottage was reasonably quiet, nice views. All a bit tired, breakfast overpriced and poor service, coffee dreadful , no saucers , had to do everything yourself, not cleared quickly.

Old masion house close to where we wanted to be. Large room with a very large bed. Very reasonably priced restaurant. Good food. Very helpful staff. The executive room we booked was not as described on Booking.com, when I showed my confirmation to the receptionist she said this was an issue with Booking.com not the hotel and they had informed booking.com of a number of errors on the website. Bed was very hard. The bar menu was far better than the restaurant menu, more variation and more interesting. Had we noticed this when checking in we would not have eaten in the restaurant. Bar service was slow and the bar was unattended for long periods of time.

We enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi and the comfortable beds. The breakfast was also very good. The room wasn't cleaned, even though we had been given the key at 2;30 and check in time was 2. The tv had no signal ( the duty manger tried to fix it, but couldn't).

I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. The staff are always friendly and the deal included free broadband. Comfortable and easy to get a taxi from. Can be a bit old fashioned and the bar has no atmosphere

Only required overnight accommodation, was value for money at £55, discounted from £75, so good value. Room decor starting to look dated, paper pealing, wardrobe coming apart at the back. Did not use any other facility, so cannot comment Expensive if you want to add breakfast at £10 pp

The location as we were at a function not far away. The hotel is looking very tired and in need of a revamp. Breakfast was very average. Waiting staff slow. Would not recommend this hotel to any friends. £105 bed & breakfast not good value for money.

External appearance of hotel was wonderful and there was an open log fire in the foyer area which was lovely and welcoming. From the first impressions being impressed we were so disappointed when we walked into our room. It was very basic and old fashioned and very small. There wasn't even anywhere to make tea/coffee.

Very friendly staff, especially on reception. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed and we thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay. We were a little disappointed by the small size of the swimming pool.
