Price is reasonable and the location good The room was warm so we had the window open. Unfortunately the people in the beer garden were very loud and we didn't get to sleep until 1am. Not good when you have a 7am ferry :(

We had a lovely stay at Blakes of Dover. The location is perfect, the staff were friendly, the rooms were good and clean and the resturant and pub downstairs were wonderful and had excellent food. I would stay there again if ever in Dover.

Central location ideal for my purpose in Dover. Room comfortable. Staff not overly helpful. Breakfast involved plentiful but as I was the only one in the dining room staff not particularly interested and cooked breakfast was bordering on being cold.

We were staying at Blakes prior to a cycling trip from Dover to Calais. It was well positioned for the port, very friendly hosts, clean and comfortable. Nice bar, convinient for local restaurants. Outside our room was an annoying humming/plumbing noise that went on all night.

Not only were the staff helpful & friendly BUT so were the people who had shops around the hotel......we stayed at this hotel as it was very convienient for our early morning ferry crossing to France NO parking facilities BUT we got a secure place behind the shop next door to the Hotel as the owner was having a drink in the hotel bar when I asked if there was anywhere secure for our motorbike....we have been told that we can use this again if we come back & stay in the hotel.

Got a very big room for the price I thought. The pub downstairs had really good food and liked the atmosphere. Free wifi in rooms! There are a quite a few stairs to get to the rooms and no elevator, so just be aware beforehand.

The cask ales in the downstairs bar were not up to standard .They had on sale Adnams of which i am familiar, and it was not at all pleasant, the other micro brews were poor in taste.I suspect a good line cleaning wouldn't hurt.

Very friendly and personal service. We found the room to be quite spacious and also enjoyed the complimentary WiFi. We also loved the pub on the ground floor and ate there twice during our 24 hours in Dover. The only complaint we had was a small leak in the sink in the bathroom - it was very minor.

Good location. Friendly personnel. Good bed, but don't expect too much comfort. Room is rather small and a bit old, but still clean and cosy. Hotel is a bit overprised we feel. Breakfast could have been included in the price.

Not a lot. The whole place is in badly need of refurbishment. The room was grubby and the sheet on the bed had bloodstains. Very noisy until the bar had shut, not very good if you have an early start.

Very friendly staff and atmosphere, good food and the price is correct, bed was clean and firm. The towels were excellent quality and the English breakfast was an all day meal!! with quality ingredients. The dinner was also good quality and value Very convenient for the cross channel ferry,we shall stay again Room was a bit on the small side but for an overnight stay this was no problem. TV was very small and for my old eyes difficult to see from the bed.
