Excellent evening meal
Staff did not get up for breakfast and area was locked so missed breakfast this was at eight oclock
The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic value for money and the room was very comfortable. The linen was top quality.
The shower needs some attention, doesn't flow away quickly and some mould . Hair dryer needs fixing or replacing.
The food was excellent and good value. We had two very good evening meals.
The bedroom and bathroom were in need of a makeover, though the bed was comfortable and the bathroom served it's purpose.
Nice and cozy spot in centre of Dover. Attentive friendly staff. Recommend for short stays
Location great to all services
Owner a little cold Breakfast at additional cost of 8 pound each person as up the road a cooked breakfast for two 5 pound in total
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We visited the pub downstairs and it was cozy and the people friendly.
Lovely pleasant atmosphere. breakfast really good, we also had an evening meal which was very nice. All staff were lovely and friendly.
good atmosphere and food in the bar and a mammoth breakfast!
Bed was uncomfortable and room cramped.
Close to the main shopping area of the town
Very small rooms up several flights of narrow stairs - very difficult with large cases. Very noisy at night as the accommodation is over a pub with a beer garden and the noise travelled.
given double bed not twins for 2 adult females
Their Cellar Bar - friendly staff, good food.
Dirty shower recess. Breakfast was at additional cost. A large plate of fried food and I would prefer scrambled eggs.
Noisiest accommodation I have ever stayed in. I was in Unit 4 with noise throughout the night from the unit above. Toilet would not flush. Toilet door was faulty. Kettle needed cleaning. The bar is a separate establishment to the accommodation though managed by the same person. Therefore meals are also served in the hotel next door. Not in the accommodation part. The establishment is not factually represented.
This Hotel was cheap, but it was very, very, ordinary. The tiny room was not clean, the bathroom was filthy, and when we plugged in our phone to charge, the whole room filled with smoke and it blew out the switch. Underneath the window the beer garden which was very noisy until late into the night. It really was a terrible Hotel!!
Very convenient for ferry to France
Boiler was in a cupboard in the room which did disturb our sleep.
Location; friendly staff (Joseph); rear Beer garden
Older style with 2 flights of stairs (2nd. floor room); room could have been cleaner--bathroom with mould. Small room and shower.
-friendly guest room -close to the city center, seaside and the castle
- retro furnitures - neither at check in nor at check out was the staff available
Location is good for an overnight stay before a morning crossing.
We stayed here a couple of years ago and were impressed by what a well-kept hotel it was, but it is now looking much in need of a thorough overhaul. Basic maintenance is not good - shower tray flooded, sink chain not attached, and although basic cleanliness was fair, a deep clean was very much overdue.
close to dover ferry terminal
dated old scruffy furniture in tired decorated room. Dirty stairs and carpets.
Good value for money fantastic real ale bar underneath. clean and comfy.friendly staff and locals.
Parking noise at night.
Cozy room, country style.
