Blakes Hotel  

Very classy. Very nice. Amazing decor. Nice staff. Nice touches like water outside room.

Room was minute. Bath/shower was amazingly difficult to have a shower. Room was very dark - lighting poor. My air-con did not work.the lift was small.

The room was great. Very creative yet luxurious decor. My fiance and I had a wonderful time and will return again.

We stayed for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was the most fantastic hotel. The staff couldn't have been nicer and the room was faultless, comfortable and beautiful. On arrival we were offered a complementary drink and a room upgrade. I can't wait to stay at Blakes again.

The best thing about the hotel is its location. The rooms were clean.

I didnt like the staff, they lack a professional approach. The rooms are very small and overpriced.

Rummet var I dåligt skick. Stora fläckor på mattan, trasiga gardiner med stora hål I på flera ställen, trasig aircondition. Allmänt nöt och slitet på ett tråkigt sätt.När jag checkade-in frågade personeln om ja ville ha ett glas champange vilket jag tackade ja till men det kom aldrig någon!!! Chekade ut från hotellet en dag tidigare!!!

The location is good. Friendly staff.

First of all the ligthning in the entire hotel is poor, if you are over the age of 40 you will have a hard time avoiding getting annoyed by constantly wishing you'd see better. It's not possible to adjust the downlights or the lamps in the room which makes shaving and putting on make up quite a challenge! Also it was cold and the aircondition/heating system was hard to adjust. In the restaurant downstairs it was like sitting in a constant draught. We had a luxury double room and found it all too small, two suitcases, room for one. If you enjoy taking a shower standing in an oldfashioned bathtub with heavy wet "curtains" sticking to your body this would be it! Due to the lack of space in the room we kept bumping in to wall lamps everywhere, even in the bathroom! Why? I wonder if the famous interior decorator Anouska Hempel actually tried staying in one of these rooms..... The already small reception area is occupied by a large table filled with "stuff", and above it a huge parasol!? Again Anouska Hempel design....

Liked the concept as read on their website. Liked the out of the way location yet in S. Ken.

Staff was cold and did not have a personality. Was not friendly. Welcome drink never arrived. Bathroom was marble and cold. Rain shower head was so high up on the top of the ceiling and the bathroom was so cold by the time the water hit my head it was cold. I chose a small room (only me) but far too small, no room for my suitcase, but fully booked so I could not mover rooms. Thin walls, could here people in and out of elevator. Could hear room service knocking on neighbor doors. Sheets were scratchy and there was a thin covering, not even a duvet. Hair dryer did not plug in bathroom, only room and no mirror to dry my hair. No full length mirror except in elevator! Asked to see other rooms for future, told could not choose, staff never asked how was my stay.

The service and attention we recieved from both the hotel and the restaurant staff was outstanding. It was my birthday and they really went out of their way to make it special for me. We were upgraded, and comp'd a bottle of champagne at dinner. We would definitely go back.
