All members of staff were pleasant and most helpful. The hotel was spotless. The restaurant food was reasonably priced and nicely presented. I had the best T bone steak I have eaten for a long time from a prize Welsh herd. The function room where we attended a party was of a good size and a super room for any function. As this is a no smoking hotel, smokers wanting their fix stand outside the front doors where there are ashtrays strategically placed. If you occupy a room directly above it tends to get a bit noisy late at night when a few gather to put the world to rights. |

Nice rooms with a lot of facilities in the house. Enough parking space in front of the hotel. Staff was acting correct but very distant. Food was good, not great. We were having diner in the restaurant and we had starter and mean course within 20 minutes, which didn't allow us enough time to finish our first glass of wine! We skipped desert because we didn't have any room left. Location is not great. |

Superb room. Had a Suite on the top floor. Really nice size and very well fitted out. Excellent breakfast, staff very helpful. The area is pretty run down and the hotel looks average from the outside. Don't let this put you off though, its a really nice hotel once you get inside. |

The rooms were very nice. The decor was really modern, everything was clean, and the bathroom was really nice too. There was also a really nice restaurant and bar downstairs which served delicious meals. We got breakfast included both days, one day was a menu breakfast and the other day was a buffet breakfast, and both were delicious. They thought we were only staying one night despite us booking 2 nights so we had people knocking on our door and ringing the room phone at midday trying to get us out. However we explained that we booked 2 nights not one, and the staff fixed it up and were appologetic. |

The room was comfortable and clean. It was central to the places we wanted to visit. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was nice as well. The power tripped in our room and we ended up having to move rooms as it was going to take a while for the problem to be solved. The swipe card didn't work in the door and it took two trips to the office to have thr problem solved - but the staff were trying their best. The outlook so close to the industrial area was a little unfortunate. |

Staff were excellent. Good sized rooms. Great breakfasts although sometimes waitress served, sometimes buffet. We only had one evening meal and it was great, wished we had eaten there more often. Asked at reception for an iron and ironing board, it arrived at the room almost before we did! The location of the hotel is nothing to write home about. We had a view of roofless factory buildings. Instead of a big bulky TV, a flat screen would have been better, there was an instruction manual for one in a drawer. A choice of more channels would have been nice. E.g. Sky or Freeview. But these are minor points it really is a nice hotel. |

Our stay was a v good experience. we would not hesitate to recommend it. the room was really well appointed eg the bathroom fittings were top class, the bed large and comfortable. The food was good and wholesome, all in all it represents excellent value. (much better than the Hilton). The approach to the hotel is rather depressing but once inside I can't think of any criticsim. By the way it was obvious that the staff were keen to please. |

We ate in the Restaurant on our first night and the food was excellent, especially the Lamb Shank - the meat just fell off the bone. The bedrooms were a slight let down in comparison to the decor in the lower part of the hotel - but they served the purpose, were roomy,clean, had tea and coffee facilties. |
