This family-run bed and breakfast is in the Essex countryside, 10 miles (16 km) from London Stansted Airport. It has free Wi-Fi, free parking, its own private fishing pond and en suite rooms. Blatches Farm offers motel-style rooms in converted farm buildings. The en suite rooms have Freeview TVs, toiletries, tea/coffee, hairdryers and radio alarm clocks. DVD players and ironing facilities are available on request. A full English breakfast is served each day and includes fresh eggs from the farm's own hens. Great and very friendly staff. Anyone that wants a weekend away fishing or going for walks in the country or just simply relaxing, then this is an ideal place to go! I can't fault this place at all and will certainly be returning there! Nothing!

The rooms are small, but clean and well kept. Breakfast was great. Staff was helpful and responsive. Showers are lukewarm at best. Wifi was unusable. Tiny refrigerator.

Nice, welcoming people (and animals). Rooms are converted stables but very clean and comfortable. Excellent 'fat boys' breakfast. Good value for money for North Essex. Closer to main road than expected. Traffic noise all day and night. Rooms small but cosy. Shower temperature control did not work (hot or very hot only). Owners seemed aware of this but obviously had done nothing to fix it.

Absolutely everything! Room was excellent, clean & warm. Ensuite facilities superb, plenty of hot water and decent pressure. Hosts very helpful, friendly and breakfast was fantastic. It kept us going throughout the entire day, despite a hectic schedule! We were staying in Essex to find a rental property in the area. The hosts were really helpful in providing additional local information. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Absolutely nothing!

Wanted a base for the weekend just for relaxation and nice food. Originally looked around local areas but then found this hidden beauty with a fishing pond - a hobby my partner hasn't done for years. The cottages are large enough with a huge bed and perfect bathroom with walk in shower. There were a few animals on the farm but what do you expect?! They were incredibly friendly and even made me overcome my fear of cats! They were as friendly as the warm owners. Breakfast was heavenly with most ingredients from the farm. Isn't located in a village itself but is a £10 taxi ride to Dunmow or a 5 minute drive to Stebbing where there is a pub. Dunmow has a wide selection of restaurant and pubs. Perfect weekend away. Nothing

Great Welcome, friendly casual style but with excellent accommodation for a farm b&b. Immaculate clean room with huge comfy bed,and a fabulous breakfast. No problem with accommodating a large dog as well. Really enjoyed the whole visit and will definitely be back again - a real find!!

Very Relaxed atmosphere that you would expect from a farm accommodation. Rooms of a higher standard than i expected. Two very friendly farm cats as a bonus! Hard to find in the dark.

Very comfortable room with all the facilities I needed i.e. internet access. Excellent breakfast and extremely accommodating hosts who looked after me very well indeed. A very pleasant, quiet location ideally si Nothing.

Clean and tidy with very friendly owners, the dog and cats are friendly too :) The drive to the farm was a little off putting and I had the impression I has missed the farm, this was discussed with the owners and they did explain that they couldn't put additional signs as the land adjacent didn't belong to them.

the owners were very friendly and accomodating. we have a dog and for once felt she was genually welcome as well. right behind our room were public right of ways through fields which was great for early morning dog walk. no lead required which made her happy. the whole place has a very relaxed and informal air about it, which made our stay very enjoyable. would strongly recommend to dog owners. the only negative comment is the dual carriage way that is close by. it's not overly noisy by any means. having said that it didn't in any way spoil our stay. if people are looking for complete peace and quiet where you can hear a pin drop, they may be dissapointed.
