- Rooms are worm and spacious
-not value for money - quite far from city center - not very clean - Wifi doesn't work on the 2nd floor - Food is bad
The location is fabulous, right on the edge of Sefton Park.
Lots of noise from drunken gusts and traffic. Room was cold, shower didn't work. The sink in the en suite was outside of the bathroom stuck on to the bedroom wall. The toilet didn't flush properly. The room was tacky and unloved.
Our stay at the Sefton was excellent all the staff were so nice and polite and very greeting, the food was lovely the atmospher was great it lovely to stay somewhere and feel so settled in xx
Room clean and bathroom facilities good. Location superb, lovely pond and park opposite. Excellent value for money in a lovely location. Easy to connect to WiFi, which was included in the price. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in Liverpool for a short break. Did not try the food but the restaurant looked very nice.
Mix up with rooms on arrival, but was resolved very quickly. Unable to get the DVD player working in the room. Was very windy when we stayed and this did have an impact on the fan in the bathroom, which was quite noisy, but did not stop us having a good night's sleep!
Generally speaking, I thoroughly enjoyed my sojourn at Sefton Park Hotel. The hotel has a pleasant ambience, located in close proximity to the very beautiful Sefton Park in the affluent locale of Aigburth, Liverpool. The room was comfortable and the shower room amenities were impeccably clean. However, the free wifi was on occasion not consistent and the signal was regrettably weak, perhaps owing to the location of the room. Notwithstanding, I enjoyed my stay at Sefton Park Hotel.
Friendly helpful staff. Great location -right by Sefton Park and a couple of minutes to the bus stop for a frequent bus to town Good value compared to some older hotels in Liverpool
Not one of the best breakfast I have had.All a bit, or in the case of sausage very , under-cooked. Separate bathroom was fine for one night but would have been a pain for a longer stay
Friendliness of staff, nice food, comfortable room but basic, nothing to complain about
Thought the room rate was perhaps a little pricey, but would stay again.
Great food in the bar/grill. We had full English (worth paying the extra for).. And an evening meal- prices were as reasonable as a pub but the standard so much higher.... Delicious and presented brilliantly. Service was quick and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Bedroom was small but very clean, comfortable and better than most 3 star 'big chain' hotels in the city. Only ten mins by taxi to the city centre and across the road from the lovely Sedton park.
Wifi extremely slow.
Food in the restaurant was great
Really dated carpets
The location of the hotel .All the staff were polite and easy to talk to.Every one was very obliging ,made you feel at home.
Friendly staff hotel so relaxing.
The room was pleasant enough. Staff were friendly and the building, external areas and setting were lovely.
Our room was one of 3 in on the floor. Unfortunately we shared the same floor as a couple who were very noisy all night!! Made the environment feel like a brothel. Not a nice experience as a family with children.
Noisy, no wifi in room, no milk and poor service at breakfast.
I liked the location as it was very near to the places and people I was there to see. Food and drinks were offered at the hotel if needed and towels and coffee were replenished frequently. The cleaning staff were particularly lovely.
There were a lot of stairs. I also found there was a bit of disorganisation with the staff. Everyone seemed perfectly legitimate very but the hotel did try to bill me for drinks I didn't buy, I actually had no key the whole stay (4 days, due to the previous occupier keeping a copy), and on Valentine's night when my children and myself were in bed, a member of staff let themselves into my room due to an error in room numbers and I had to stop them. Like I said, everyone was pleasant but there was room for improvement there.
friendly welcoming staff, clean, good food and not overpriced
close to the park and airport
The upper room for 4 guests is too basic with no tables or chairs, noisy, extremely small bathroom, limited heating system
The location the bar area and the staff
the stairs I have walking problems although they gave us a room on the first floor. there were 3 of us in the room and only a small bar of soap enough milk for one drink each. In fairness I didn't ask for more
Friendly staff and clean room.
Our room wasn't ensuit but we booked through booking.com at a discounted rate so you get what you pay for.
Room was nice and clean, clean linen. Breakfast was very good. Amusing. The power point for the kettle was behind the wardrobe. and for the tv was above the wardrobe.
we are 75+ and have to use the bathroom at night. Our bathroom was outside our room! The door closures were very stiff. I found it hard to push the door open, very quietly in the night. Room was too warm.
The hotel needs an update, especially the bathrooms.
Location and services offered
Location to park , nice area .
The room very small, and cold !
Lovely breakfast , nice place to stay .. And very nice staff .. Very helpful and polite .
The location is beautiful, right next to a park and pond. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The food and bar were good and the room was comfy and clean. Our first room had a great view of the park. Great value for money in the area.
The location, we had gorgeous view of the park, lovely period features. Well maintained paintwork and very clean room. Fantastic evening meal, really good attentive chef, full english breakfast really tasty with good quality produce, thank you.
Only fault was a trickle of a shower and was room on the cool side (was a very cold night) additional radiator provided.
