Far too noisy. Could hear full conversation of guests in room next door. Felt as if they were in the same room. Would never stay there again.
Good location, well appointed rooms good standard of breakfast, Represents a good clean comfortable hotel at a great price will use again and recommend without hesitation
Clean and kind.
Friendly, professional staff, especially Kate on reception. Facilities very clean Location excellent
Every fitting or fixture in the room from shower door, taps, tables, lights, cupboards etc, literally everything was so badly fitted it was laughable. I would recommend in future using a qualified joiner to do the work, rather than the local primary school kids.
The staff were very helpful, nothing was to much trouble. Easy access via bus to Liverpool so no parking fees to pay . Our Blackburn senior bus passes were accepted without question.
We had no problems at all.
Good quality food friendly helpful staff comfortable rooms
Very friendly helpful staff however felt understaffed for demand of customers
Drunken guests on arrival. Very distressing and noisy row going on in next room between 1.30am and 5am. Asked night staff to intervene but didn't make any difference as it kept flaring up. So no sleep and a 6.30am plane to catch.
The view was lovely staff were very polite
Bed was'nt comfy enough sorry
Location, Staff, Breakfast.
Room was poorly set out and cheap décor. Light from outside spotlights infringed into room. Not condusive to a good nights sleep.
Staff where very friendly and helpful
Tv in the bedroom was a bit small
Lovely old house with interesting maritime pictures on the walls, and some views over Sefton Park. I'm surprised the hotel doesn't make more of its more-than-tenuous historical association with Stuart Sutcliffe. Comfortable and clean, despite some lack of pride in attention to detail in plumbing & shower cleanliness in the en suite bathroom. Good if slightly expensive continental and cooked breakfasts (at £6.95 & £7.95 respectively) in the elegant 'Michaelangelo' restaurant.
No maramalade provided at breakfast - only jam.
Vey friendly & helpful staff, good location
faulty shower (cycling boiling/cold), faulty window(broken would not shut) Did report this next morning and they said it would be looked at immediately.
Staff were really friendly and they went out of their way to help me out and feed me when I arrived late at night. Great service and a friendly clientele in the pub.
It's not a new building but well cared for. Just best to know it is not a really polished place but more homey which was fine for my visit.
The setting and the location
Brilliant location. Very friendly & very efficient staff. Lovely room. Very good reasonably priced restaurant. Very good value for money. Free easy parking.
The staff were really helpful and friendly. Location was just were wanted and was close to the city. Lots of good restaurants were close by. Bed was very comfortable.Nice to be able to have a cup of tea in our room when we wanted.
Room was a bit small and needed updating, ie no handle on shower door, one of the curtains was off it's hooks. Overall it was fine for a couple of night's stay.
Where it was. Lovely location in Sefton Park
Shabby. Fawlty Towers like
Staff were excellent and very friendly. Lunch and Dinner tariffs were excellent value. Location was good for the purpose we chose the hotel. Facilities were Ok as long as you were able bodied as no access for disabilities and no rooms on ground floor
We booked weeks before our stay to guarantee a room at quite an expensive rate. However, nearer to our date of stay, room rates were considerably lower which we think unfair. When we booked it was under the name of Lakeside Blenheim, now Sefton Park and tariffs regarding Full breakfast didn't mention continental breakfast, so it should be clarified on website the tariffs for ALL meals including childrens' rates. My daughter in law had a 2month old baby as well as 2 children and was put in a very small room and shower on top floor, so as well as climbing up front steps to hotel, had to negotiate flights upstairs as well. She did request a room change to a lower floor but her room was again very small for a family. My daughter had a single room at an expensive rate and the only window was a velux window in the bathroom. Not good enough for the price we paid
Food was great staff were brilliant
Room was horrible paid for ensuite double got twin single beds which at being 6"2 wasn't very good and bathroom with shower was outside my room on landing next to someone else's room door ! Pants...
Proximity to Sefton Park. Large, comfortable room. Friendly staff.
Our room was situated over the bar and was very noisy at night.
Clean room and linen
Hard to find. No map on website or at the hotel. Hotel was across a busy road from the park. No lift, air-conditioning or room fridge. Opening the window resulted in traffic noise. Hot water jug din not turn off when boiling. TV high on wall at right-angles to the bed. Water hammer from neighbouring room woke my before 7am on several mornings. When I complained I was told the owners were away and therefore nothing could be done. Service was slow and the reception desk and bar were often unattended.
The hotel is lovely with lovely staff, great location and all at a great price. What more do you want :) Myself and my daughter enjoyed our stay at the Sefton Park Hotel. Thanks Guys :)
Location friendly staff breakfast evening meal
lumpy mattress small room no remote for tv no towel rail or shelf by sink curtain hanging off repairs to various items such as bathroom door ,wardrobe not done no extractor in bathroom windows do not open more than a few inches and even then had to be wedged open
The area that the Sefton park hotel is in, and a lovely lake across the road! The staff are great too.
The mattresses need replacing as you can feel the springs in your back, also the curtains don't close correctly!!
Location, good staff
The guest rooms were very poor
