Nice for a short stay
Big bathroom. Friendly people. pets. Beautiful garden.
the room was comfortable, but could have been arranged a bit differently to take better advantage of the space for a traveller.
Robert and Karen were very helpful when we needed them for advice. Breakfast was great especially Karen's scrambled eggs.
Fine Georgian building, very comfortable and quiet. Made to feel welcome. Full English breakfast cooked to order.
Location was good, owners very nice
No WiFi which I depended on fir my trip. Tiny rooms, too many cats, house smelled. Poor tv reception
Accommodation was lovely with nice appointments. Hosts were great. Good proximity by foot to restaurants and pubs and not far into the heart of the city.
Shower pressure was poor.
Attentive and considerate owner for whom nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was clean and comfortable in a nice peaceful setting
A beautiful house with friendly welcoming hosts.
A minor criticism is the water pressure in the shower.
A very welcoming and friendly B&B. The decoration was charming. The little touches (nice bottles of shower gel/soap etc, tea/coffee/port (!!!), chocolate on my pillow) were really appreciated. Breakfast - delicious and we had great company from fellow guests.
Long walk up the hill as my sister forgot about the short cut (that she was told about by the owners before I arrived!!!!). So in short ... nothing we didn't like.
Comfort ,decor and nice breakfasts. Karen and Robert were excellent hosts.
Long uphill walk from centre of town We ended up getting taxis which cost £5 to 6.
I loved the house very nice and clean. The room was lovely, nice view on the garden. The breakfast was great. If I ever go back I would definitely stay there again. Lovely host. Very useful about directions and things to do around the town.
The wi fi was a bit slow in the room but I guess it s normal cause I was upstairs
Fantastic stay .... Very much enjoyed it and we were made to feel very welcome and at home. A lovely touch was the complimentary decanter of port in our room ! Breakfast was simply delicious with locally cooked produce. Overall our stay was outstanding.
Beautiful surroundings and attentive host who is happy to advise on the best places to eat etc. The room was decorated in a manner befitting the period, giving a comfortable and homely feel, much preferred than the trend for minimalist interiors. All amenities were made available. We did not have breakfast (in the georgous dining room) so cannot comment, however I am sure that this would have been exeptional. We would not hestitate to stay again.
Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Our bed was wonderful!
The shower pressure was lacking a bit but the charm of the older home made up for it.
WHEN OWNERS RUN HOTELS, CAN NOT BE BETTER !
Lovely touch of leaving a complimentary decanter of port in our room. Excellent breakfast. Great friendly and helpful owners.
Upon arrival we received a very friendly welcome, and despite being very early we were still given a key and looked after. The staff were extremely friendly and gave excellent recommendations of local places to go and things to see. Very cosy atmosphere, rooms were nice and quiet, and the bed extemely comfy. Breakfast was included and was lovely - food/cooked breakfast was cooked very well (NO grease!). Overall, very happy with the hotel - would definitely recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, charming place to stay, with lots of character.
Beautifully decorated, stunning view, incredibly friendly staff
Weak WiFi in room - but expected
Warm welcome, lovely breakfast. Advice on what to see and do.
My car broke down 5 mins from hotel and had to be towed back home
Everything! But the most - the owners' cat Mr. Taurnas!! The room was big, bright, clean and very comfortable. Coffee, cookies, kettle and cups were provided. The bathroom was big as well with a nice view of the English countryside. The hotel is just 15 mins walk to the city through a very nice area. The house is 200 years old and you really feel like you are in England the way it's pictured in classic books. Thank you so so much for a wonderful stay! Would recommend this hotel to everyone!
Hosts were excellent very helpful and informative breakfast was very good and all round was a enjoyable stay.
Fantastic stay! Would highly recommend. The room was great, staff lovely and breakfast delicious. Definitely would stay again.
Warm and welcoming hosts. Amenities perfectly suited our needs.
