Great traditional pub with comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price and well placed for a stop over following a rugby match at Sandy Park
Ease and friendliness of the staff. Cleanliness Temperature of room Carparking outside Excellent menu
Good friendly welcome on arival the room warm clean and lashings of hot water. Good old inn good beer good food at a good price and a good full english in the morning would recomend to friends and will use again
We found except for the shower the facilities were very good. The many times we have driven passed this place we have not called in as we do not drink alchol .We would like to thank the owners and staff very much.
We did not like theshower as there was no grab rail or anything else to help us older people or even a plastic stool to sit down to wash your feet. This is something you could consider but need not be left in the room depending on the age of visitors.
Friendliness of staff Cleanliness of room Fantastic shower Delicious food
Food for lunch . Excellent Beer .
Plastic glasses for beer
The room itself, pub food and the staff
Too noisy through night and a recycling lorry arrived at 6.40 am right outside our room.
Proximity to Sandy Park rugby ground. Friendly, helpful staff Excellent food Accommodation comfortable & ideal for short stay.
Hairdryer not working
Very friendly and helpful staff! I had the twin room number 2 and even though your beside the road it's still very peaceful! The room was clean, plenty of space and very comfortable!
The price of breakfast was a bit steep for a continental but and the overall price of food was high!
Staff were wonderful, rooms were well kept.
Bed was uncomfortable
Restaurant is excellent
very little bed and pillows ok also towels
location not near Exeter airport room freezing cold on arrival flashing lights due to traffic needs proper shutters on windows promised continental breakfast but never came before I left @7 45am would not stay here again a refund would be inorder
Excellent location for rugby Very friendly staff enjoyable weekend break
Bed was VERY hard Pillows were inadequate Heating was not working Wifi not working Toilet cistern faulty Shower tray kept filling up with water and not draining properly meaning you could only shower for about 60 seconds. Light bulbs missing Noisy road within a few feet of the room
Positioned just off the motorway but far enough to be comfortable! As you entered the old building it was like finding an oasis. Wonderful staff who really tried to help, good selection of ales and a good menu. Room was large and very comfortable, shower was superb. Only downside was that breakfast is an extra and I struggle with that concept in this day and age!
It was conveniently located close to the motorway providing easy access to the park and ride to Exeter town centre or easy access to the main roads in. We were welcomed in a friendly manner and shown quickly to our room. The room was clean and a good size. Breakfast in the morning was excellent - too much for me.
The switches to turn various things on (e.g. the towel warmer) could have been labeled to help identify them. Some were quite high and could not be reached by my wife. But this is just a minor point
The rooms were simple, clean and airy. Everything was really nice and we'll maintained. Breakfast was prepared well.
Alot of the cereals and condiments provided to accompany breakfast were expired some by more than 6 months. 1 of the cereal packets had been opened and left in amongst the others.
Liked the staff, Inn itself and the room.
Only one hardback chair in room. Showerhead appalling. Heating very difficult to control.
Friendly, quiet and very reasonably priced
Wifi not really available in bedroom
Food is very nice indeed. Bar is clean and has character. Room was snug, but very clean and comfortable for 1 person. A very good experience had overall.
The rooms are a bit close to a busy local road, which made sleep a little difficult tbh and woke me up far earlier than I had planned.
Great service and hospitality :-)
Internet was only working 10 percent of the time ..
The room was cosy and clean with a good shower. We also had a very nice meal in the restaurant which I would highly recommend. The location was ideal for us - just off junction 30, but there wasn't much else around there and the road is a bit noisy.
We were originally put in a room where the blind was broken and hanging lose but the staff were very apologetic and quickly moved us into a nicer room. The switch for the hair dryer was in a strange place which I didn't find until it was too late to use. The bed was rather uncomfortable however we did sleep ok.
Very close to the M5 but surprisingly quiet. Extremely helpful staff with a good selection of real ales.
Rooms clean WC shower room great. Bar and restaurant right on your door step so you can have a beer or wine. Food very good
All meals were excellent
