The room was truly a blessing!! So large!! Very good after the previous rooms we have had!! Your bathroom towels were just wonderful.
Location, friendly, power shower was great.
Double mattress not very comfortable.
Excellent bathrooms and showers. Nice linen. Tea and coffee making facilities. Flat screen tv with freeview. Pleasant staff. Good price for two rooms. Choice of breakfast.
Some road noise but not too intrusive. Double glazed so it can be shut out. The beer in the pub: sorry but St Austell Brewery cask conditioned beer is not what we want.
Our Trip to Exeter was a shopping trip for my 15 yr old daughters birthday. The overnight stay was kept a surprise until we were ready to leave. When I booked the stay (on line) I asked if some birthday balloons could be put in the room. My daughters face was a picture, not only when we pulled up outside the beautiful olde worlde thatched pub, but when we walked into the room and there were balloons and banners hanging over the beds! Many thanks to all involved for making a young lady (and her mums) day.
Very nice staff
Bed a bit uncomfortable.
It was clean throughout.
No easy chairs to sit in
It gave you the impression you were in a olde country pub in the middle of nowhere, excellant food, staff and surroundings
great value for a basic warm little stop off. can add cereal/toast breakfast for £5. though there was live music on at the pub, the rooms are pretty sound proof. very pleasant staff
no blind on skylight meant for an earlier wake up!
Very good bed, every need provided for. Good supply of tea & coffee in room. Excellent english breakfast served in pub lounge.
Easy to get to, prompt check in and out, friendly staff
Poor wifi, slightly out of the way from other pubs and restaurants
The rooms were very well decorated and comfortable. Excellent access to the M5. Would stay agin
Not quite 100% clean. A little more attention could be given to the bigger picture -I.e. skirting boards.
Unfortunately the matress in our room was very uncomfortable, time for a new one!.
Clean friendly staff Rooms good size Comfortable beds Nice refurbishment Excellent food at pub
Nice bathroom. Big parking lot very close to the rooms.
No curtain for the roof window so expect an early wake in the morning. No WIFI
Lacking a window
Very pretty. Good location Breakfast was excellent, waitress very friendly.
On arrival person behind bar rather curt, and was the same when booking our evening meal. I was frightened to ask for a menu in case I had my head snapped off. Apart from that a nice meal.
Staff very friendly . Food very good .
In Room 1 right next to the road and the yard so very noisy both with traffic and deliveries.
Access from the car park. Did not need to take the children into the pub. Room was light. chose not to have breakfast
shower was too powerful and could not be turned down easily. money for stay was taken from credit card at time of booking.
Pillows were hard and lumpy, particularly one, bed was not very wide and was not comfortable.
Easy parking /access to M5 & Exeter - good food
I loved the ruralness although I was not far from the airport.
