We chose the hotel because it is conveniently placed for the crematorium. Finding we were unable to pay by card of cheque meant a further inconvenience of finding a cash point in order to pay by cash. This did not help when we were already under pressure. Very little helpful information in our room.

Friendly staff welcomed me to the hotel where I was shown to a warm comfortable room. The brasserie provided well cooked meals which was appreciated by myself and family who visited. Breakfast was cooked to order so always hot. Ceiling height would have been a problem if I were any taller (six feet) the shower even more so as it was raised a couple of inches, I caught my head a few times.

We especially liked the fact that is was pet friendly as we took our dog with us and we were able to take him in the bar with us for a meal. The pet friendly rooms were perfect as we could just take the dog outside the door and on to the grass. The evening meal was excellent but the breakfast could have been better. Staff were friendly and mostly helpful. The bedroom was lovely and the bathroom too but the shower let it down as it worked off the bath taps and wasn,t very good Its a pity as we were impressed with the look of the bathroom. Also the staff didn,t seem that well informed as the man on reception told us breakfast was in the Brasserie and it was somewhere else. The waitress at breakfast didn,t show us where the cereals and other things were we had to ask,a family came in and they had to ask too. There was only two tea bags in the room which meant we couldn,t have tea in the morning.

Our room was well-equipped, spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our evening bar meal was excellent value. Breakfast was a bit disorganised, though the food was fine.

The food was good, but the menu limited. We booked a superior room. It had a standard sized double bed, no chairs and no towel rail. The towels were not changed on the first day, the bed not made well and the floor not cleaned well. Outside, there were upturned flower pots with stale cigarette butts the were never emptied.

Pleasant surroundings, modern hotel with good flatscreen tv, tea/coffee making facilities, good breakfast. Good value for money The room ( a double) was quite small, as was the bathroom. I twice hit my head on the sloping ceiling.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, delicious food. This is a nice hotel, money has obviously been spent. A fence to screen the bins and container at the rear would be my only suggested improvement.
