The staff were lovely the room was a big family room lovely surroundings and staff work really hard thank you .
The location of the room behind the kitchen very was busy at all hours and quite noisey at times
The poor quality beds, small rooms and even smaller bathrooms. We were shown to a room still dirty from the previous occupant, then shown to another before deciding to finally give us number 15. Poor quality food but the price is cheap if you are on a budget
Breakfast was OK.
Tried to check in twice 3pm - room not ready and 9 pm no staff around. Ignored at bar by unfriendly staff! Room too small for family room, carpets dirty and room damp.
very nice rooms nice people would go again
Food was good. Room was good. Convenient to get to. Comfy beds. Staff very pleasant
A bigger bathroom was needed for a family of 4.
excellant quality fittings in rooms, good food and friendly staff
childrens play area where many parents did not supervise their children but this is not the fault of the hotel.
We were a family my wife and I and 2 great grandchildren aged 7 and 3 and as soon as we arrived we new they would be happy with slides, crazy golf and lots of space to run around. the food and staff were very good and as were allowed to eat our meal in our room that was a bonus
Location of our room which was self contained from the hotel. Very quiet location in the evening which enabled us to have a good night's sleep. Had one evening meal which was ok. Cooked breakfast was plentiful and well cooked.
I booked the disabled room for 2 nights due to recovering from a broken leg and ankle. After showering, the wet room was like a paddling pool due to the water not draining away quickly. This was not acceptable due to my disability. I complained to the staff who supplied us with a mop and extra towels to soak up the water. The next day on return to the room, it had not been serviced. I had to complain again and to keep me happy said they would reduce my bill by £10 (How generous). It was very noisy during the day due to the bouncy castles which made you want to leave the hotel to chill out. I suppose you have to expect this in school holidays. Breakfast would have been better if yogurts and fruit had been on offer. I will certainly not be staying at this hotel again I only booked due to my circumstances and could have ended up with another broken leg due to the condition of the wet room!!!
Receptionist/Waitress and general office girl was excellent.Hardly saw anyone else
Having been to the hotel some years ago, it has gone down hill fast. Few staff, facilities eg Ice Cream Parlour and conservative restaurant closed the former because of a shortage of staff. Bar service terrible. Seemed more bothered with passing bar trade than residents.
Clean hotel room, idea for what we wanted
At night the staff in the bar appeared a little confused with bills being charged to rooms, tried to charge us for items we had already paid for
- Free Wi-Fi throughout the building, which was even great in the rooms. - 6 miles from the coast - food good - really friendly staff - Superior rooms well furnished
- No fan in (hot) rooms - Noise between rooms
friendly and helpful staff.
Staff very welcoming and cheerful. Large and and comfortable room. Good breakfast. Just a few minor quibbles which if addressed would raise my ratings to excellent. I have sent email to hotel with some feedback.
A little bit disorganised but don't let this put you off as staff very helpful and quickly did best to put things right.
Booked this place because it sounded really nice place which in a round a bout way it was but when we arrived there were no staff on the reception just a note saying go round to the front. Walked in the front and that was the bar, told the barman that we had a booking so he said follow me and he took us back to the reception and gave us a key and showed us our room and quickly left. We had a meal that night but the surrounding was like a truckers cafe. Barman multi tasking as a barman come waiter. Room was small with matching bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was in a conservatory with again only one staff member flying around doing everything. On checkout we found out were all the staff was, they were on the reception taking your money.! Got the feeling we were more of an hindrance than a guest. Not worth the money they charge. A Travelodge has more atmosphere than this place and more staff.
nice room. good breakfast. friendly staff.
Friendliness of staff. We had a problem with the shower but a solution was found quickly.
Too few staff - they are excellent but have to multitask too much - felt guilty therefore asking for extra coffee at breakfast etc. poor internet access
The staff were very friendly & helpful. We ate in the brasserie on one occasion; the food was very good but the brasserie was more like a bar.
We were in a "garden" room - soundproofing could be better.
The room was lovely, the breakfast was nice and contrary to other reviews the staff and staffing levels were excellent. Would stay there again.
I thought that the price of £82.50 for one night for us two was a bit hefty.
The room was good we had a garden room it was nice and clean,we slept well.
The breakfast on the last day was a bit off.My drink of tea was a teabag in a cup not a pot of tea like the day before and there was nobody to check on things while we ate it,they just disappeared to clean rooms
Good food - evening & breakfast Loads of car parking
'A few of the staff need a refresher in customer service.'
Burton agnes is in a remote area but the hotel has tried to deliver all the facilities under one roof, hotel, bar, restaurant (that serve excellent food). Outside there is bouncy castles and games for the children to enjoy but still offer a lovely quiet room. Lastly, i say well done to the staff for being so lovely!
Walls between bedrooms are paper thin - we could hear every word being said from the next room.
Comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice location in lovely village just a few miles from coast.
Food was only average. Bathrooms needed towel rails and somewhere to put toiletries.
We had a first class room and the staff were very friendly.
Unfortunately for us we stayed when it was the Darts Championship Weekend and there was limited evening food on offer.
Located on the main road to Bridlington. Friendly staff, good choice of bar and restaurant meals. Comfortable room, and a nice breakfast. Plenty of parking.
