Starter at dinner was superb staff were very friendly and helpful
Wifi didn't work, asked for medium steak and received raw vary small TVs for room size.
I liked the fact that we were only there for one night.
Staff were entirely inattentive and disinterested. No welcome, no thank you. Dreadful menu choice. Windows didn't shut properly. Extortionate prices in the bar. Bed terribly uncomfortable. Just utter rubbish.
Staff very helpful and attentive at all times. Breakfast and Restaurant food excellent.
The food was excellent : When having a drink at 10:30pm after my business : told shutting in 10 minutes which as a guest in hotel do not expect : young lady didn't understand what I ordered twice and it was on their drinks menu
On arrival non of the electric works : they forgot to switch it on and I had had a 3 hour journey : Cobwebs in the bedroom and when I had a bath the plug didn't work had to hurt my hand using a spoon to release the plug : when reported to reception the young lady was I felt just not interested : It is sad as could be a very pleasant place : Needs more refurbishment : Not done in 6 years
Very good location for where i had to go, great staff, Indian meal was fantastic.
twin room beds very uncomfortable need replacing you can feel the springs.
Arrived early as we were attending a wedding and we're given a room so we could change. Nice log fire.
Big bedroom good facilities including toiletries. Full english breakfast.
Bath could do with a deep clean.
Room was given to me unfortunately it was near store room for clearing it was bit distracted
no wifi, no mobile signal, no heating in the room, breakfast too late (started at 7.30, I had to leave at 7am), food OK but expensive
My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. They even gave us the recipe to their soup. The food was delicious and well presented. Good size bathroom and bath. Bed very comfortable with nice crisp white sheets. I would definitely stay here again.
Telly was on the small side and only certain places we could get Wifi.
It between bicester village and london. If you were shopping late for home, that is good choice
- friendly staff - nice bar/dining areas - lots of parking
- bedroom dated and tatty - very basic ensuite - mediocre breakfast
The service is great and the food excellent. For example, they had some unusual beer and rather than us having to order it to try they offered us a sample.
The breakfast is not of the same standard as dinner was tough there is choice including scrambled eggs with salmon! The coffee could definitely be better and was not a patch on the coffee we had in the evening.
On arrival, the pub looked really good, clean and tidy and welcoming. Breakfast was good, although a lack of menu of what was available made breakfast a guess. Nice comfy bed
Once out of the pub into the bedroom, well it was old, and very tired. Bathroom was really poor, old hair drier on the wall, mold on the shower screen, and the bath was not clean, overflow was really dirty. If they cleaned the bathroom, and spent a little money in the bedrooms, then it would be good. Menu in the pub is a little odd, I found it expensive and difficult to choose. Someone else asked for what was a normal curry, not on the menu, and was told no. £30 for the meal, starter, main and 2 beers Overall, 50/50
We were hospital visiting in Marlow so the hotel needed to be close and easy to find as we had travelled a long way. The room was large and comfortable, the evening meal and breakfast were included in the price
The bathroom in need of update, could not get the shower to work but plenty of hot water for the bath
Large bedroom, refurbishment in progress, very good choice on the breakfast menu, Staff very nice.
Lack of choice on themenu for evening meal, which due to the remote location is a slight irritation. Wifi very poor wouldnt connect due to unstable connection!
The room was good value and very spacious
£4.20 for a pint
Food was great
Rooms were very outdated and needed deep clean
The food is excellent we had the Indian choices and it was some of the best Indian food I have ever had. Good choice at breakfast.
Rooms dated and mismatched could do with an upgrade but OK for our one night stop.
Nice pub, clean, comfortable, great staff, very good breakfast.
A little old-fashioned. Slightly noisy due to proximity of M40. Booked three twin rooms but got two twin plus one single. Otherwise all good.
The room is confortable
The hotel is far from everything , lost in the middle of nothing ,impossible to find it, the adresss is wrong in the GPS and someone in the hotel tried to shop with my credit card , and I have my card blocked , really I don,t recomend
The location is good, the outside seating area is pleasant. The rooms are old fashioned but clean and comfortable.
The owners are trying too hard. If you serve eggs Florentine at least get the chef to learn how it should be served - it's not just a pile of thawed out spinach plonked on a plate with poached eggs! Also a pint of a local beer was flat, the young lad behind the bar was clueless and the manager just said "it must be the end of the barrel". No alternative was offered as the other beer on tap was also "at the end". Disappointing.
The staff were very helpful
The rooms were very clean but could do with updating
easy access to motorway quiet place when u want to chill out close to Oxford, Bicester etc.
I was kicked out at home what a place to recover staff 10/10 I have stayed in local big hotels thus last week nothing will top the servive and food
