Liked the way they did the breakfast, simple and help yourself
I had my coat on for 45 minutes before the room heated enough for me to take it off. i then asked for another heater and 30 minutes later i had to go to reception to ask again. the wifi is so slow its frustrating to use at all.
good and helpful staff, room was comfortable
same breakfast every morning, perhaps a change with bacon poached eggs etc a set of scales would be handy for clients to weigh their cases for the airport??
Staff were polite n able to assist where required.
The room was a good size .free wifi. Iron and ironing bould .easy to get to town . A good breakfast .lot's of parking.
- room is comfortable - easy access from the highway
- the hotel is in the middel of nowhere - the hotel bar is not very attractive
Great staff Very clean and modern
Bed felt worn out and uncomfortable Breakfast was simply terrible
not well signed posted
overall the cleaness
The hotel seema good. Some of thw staff avery pleasant but some seem not to be intereated in their job. Overally, I had a comfortable stay.
Wi fi not connecting, room had one bed light not working and no handqaah on bathroom sink.
The price Ease of booking, check in / out also very swift thanks to Booking. Com
I liked the facilities and the staff were friendly and healpful :)
very frendly staff
Location was excellent for our needs. Good to have Toby carvery opposite. Comfy beds and duvets, good shower.
Only minus were the cobwebs on the ceiling !
Well it was actually the staff that made the stay so very enjoyable. The most helpful, hospitable and friendly hotel staff I have seen in a long time. Staying at a hotel is an experience and its the staff that make that all important impression!!!!
All excellent hotel
The pre authorized of your bank card which I find of 100 is to much and u have to wait for it to go back in account
Staff agreed to change our ground floor room because of noise from room above plus they provided us with an extra armchair.
The noise from the room above our ground floor. Found it hard to believe that the sound proofing was pretty poor for a modern hotel.
Very clean comfortable room.
Sadly were staying to attend a Funeral Service nearby. Unfortunately there was a power cut in the early hours of the morning which resulted in ...No power, no water , no breakfast, no hot drink and of course no wi-fi. So cannot comment on the service or food.
The breakfast was very basic with not enough choice or options, it was very disappointing
Easy access to Braintree. parking facilities Room size Breakfast
Bathroom floor not cleaned. Noise from main road from 0530 onwards
Really comfortable with lots of extra's, ironing board, iron, hair dryer etc.Stayed at another hotel of another chain and standard was no where near that of the Holiday Inn Express. I read previous comments before the stay and had no real expectations but was very impressed at the standard for the price of the room. Most seem to be critical of the breakfast which sadly, we were too late for but with eating facilities off site only 100-200 feet away no real issue..
Good sized room. Easy to find location. Quiet at night.
Standard of cleanliness left room for improvement. Quality of breakfast hot items was not good
Like the accessible shower room. Perfect for someone with a painful knee! And it was on the ground floor so hardly any walking to do Staff were nice and helpful (apart from the issue with the sofabed) Ambiance of hotel and room was pleasant The shower room was a very good size as was the shower cubicle with lots of soaps in wall dispensers - ace! The breakfast bar was part of the reception which was an interesting twist. Parking is excellent
Had a family room with a queen sized bed and the sofa bed made up! For one person! When I asked could the sofa bed be folded up as I'd like the use of the sofa, I was told there were no housekeeping staff and was left to do it on my own - I'm 73 with arthritis but I accomplished after a bit of a struggle! The sofa turned out to be quite grubby so I used the sheet as a throw to make it more wholesome. TV was not properly set up so changing channels was a bit of a struggle The remote was also very, very sticky and yukky - had to clean it myself with a moistie which was very grubby after. I hate it when remotes aren't cleaned with the room. You just never know what people have been doing before they handle TV remotes! Breakfast was okay-ish but they were out of orange juice and served no bacon, mushrooms or fried eggs - only sausages (yuk) baked beans (double yuk) and scrambled eggs which I always find has the appearance and taste of Polyfilla (not that I've ever tasted Polyfilla!) But the menu was stated on a corporate menu so can't really complain about that.
WARM AND COMFORTABLE , GOOD SIZE ROOM
FOOD VERY POOR
Large clean modern room. Very comfortable night. Super big shower. Next door to a Toby Carvery, good reasonably priced food.
large excellent room and very clean.
