It was in a good location easy access to York. The bar was not fully stocked so you had to go out if you wanted a drink, nor do they serve evening meals. Breakfast was very good. |

Breakfasts were good although the coffee was only lukewarm on both mornings, would be better served and not from a self serve dispenser. Waitresses were pleasant. Car parking was available which was a bonus being so close to city centre. Room (15) was shabby, carpet was badly stained and had not been vacuumed, receptionist picked up bits off the floor when he opened the room door to let us in. Bathroom was miniscule. |

location of the hotel was good, with most attractions within walking distants. quality of food was poor and day to day cleaning of our rooms could have been better, also no bar due to flooding so no quiet drink to finish your day off unless you wanted to walk back into the town again. |

breakfast not told that the room had heavy traffic noise. No option of evening meal. Bar only seen on a photo, although it was said to be closed because of a leak we did not see any sign of a bar. |

Convenient for centre of York When we arrived we found that the bar was not operational because of flooding and the hotel did not seem to have any atmosphere as the sfaff were not all that friendly. Also the breakfast we had, had been cooked earlier and kept warm which made the bacon dry. We would have preferred to have waited longer to have had it all freshly cooked. |

the location was ideal for the city centre the two young waitresses/receptionist were rude unco-operative miserable. the toast and cofee was stone cold and the second day i was ignored and had to drag them to my table to order a breakfast which was second hand stone cold toast and a slammed teapot on the table due to her mood as i came for brakfast at 8.50 am in which hot water was spilt everywhere. no manners no smile nothing. we werent asked if we had had a nice stay or anything. |

In easy walking distance to city centre They left or room unlocked after cleaning it, the cellar bar was closed every night, and two dirty glasses and a bottle of wine were left in main lounge from wednesday and was still there when we left on friday. |

The staff at this small hotel were welcoming, attentive and helpful. The room, though small, was functional and tidy. There were no bar facilities at this hotel as the cellar bar was closed during our stay which was at the height of the tourist season. The bedroom was small, and provided no shower or bath toiletries. |

we visited most of the local attractions found some of the entrance fees rather expensive. We also went to Catterick Races on Wed.08 07.09. Great fun and a lovely exprience. We found the hotel rather cramped. |

The room was very clean and comfortable, Hotel staff were friendly and accomodated our needs. Breakfast was basic but ok. Location of Hotel is perfect just a 10 minute walk into the city centre along the river. Our towels were not changed during our stay. |

Access to the riverside. Dissapointing overall.Did not come up to website description appeared to us to be in a run down condition the bar and restaurant were closed. The staff were very pleasant but did not seem aware of what was happening at the hotel and were multi tasking.Room service hit and miss. |

the bed was very comfortable and clean, food was good and service was good. due to hot weather we had all windows open and the noise from the traffic outside the hotel kept us awake through the night. |
