Location was good. Close to shopping area. Room was clean. A little difficult to take luggage up many flights of stairs. Had to ask for a few items which were not in room on our arrival. |

The club room that we had was very clean and modern and had everything we needed. The bar was not open throughout our stay, so we had to drink in the pub along the road, and had to ask for stock of teabags and milk as it wasnt filled when the room was cleaned. |

The bed was comfy and the hotel was near the city of york and the staff were helpful and friendly. Only dissapointment was the breakfast. It was lukewarm and felt like it was cooked well before and the staff were too much in a hurry to clear things away that made it hard to relax. Restaurant was not open on my night's stay. |

Visited tourist attractions and shopping No complimentary soap, shampoo etc. Bar closed 11pm and very low on stock. Instead of serviettes at breakfast we had kitchen roll. Staff not friendly at all. No good morning or good evening from reception staff. I would expect much more from a 3 star hotel. |

The bed was comfortable The Bar was understocked and out of the way, The Restaurant was Closed, The Super Super Kingsize Bed was too big for the room. It restricted access to the dressing table, ie it was impossible to sit on the chair provided, and access to the Wardrobe was somewhat difficult. There was no Soap or Showergel provided. |

Our room was very comfortable, and quiet for a city centre hotel, and not only did the TV work but it offered us a good range of channels. The short walk into the city centre via the river was ideal. Over the three days we were staying there was no soap in the hotel!! There was no complementary shower gel or shampoo either. The breakfasts were cooked differently everyday (on one day out of the three the scrambled egg was good). Reviews of the hotel promised somewhat better food. Kitchen roll was used in the dining room instead of napkins!! |

I liked the location of this hotel and having a car park on site was really handy. The bed was comfortable. The cooked breakfast was lovely as it was grilled and that got extra marks from me! I thought the condition of the room was extremely poor. It would make a big difference if they painted it (instead of having plaster showing) and got a new carpet. The carpet was not clean and had bits all over it - I didnt walk on it without wearing my slippers! I couldn't work out how to work the shower either. |

Good location for central York; beds very comfortable and double room & bathrooms very spacious; cooked breakfast generous; staff courteous. Rooms far too warm, even with heating off, which might not be something they can address. Could be cleaner; cooked breakfast pretty standard, more cereal options/fruit (was just tinned grapefruit) would be good. |

The close proximity to the city was the best thing about the hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The 'superior' room was disappointing. The room needed a good deep clean. We had to ask twice that the toilet was cleaned. No napkins/no teacups on our table/bed not made up on the first morning of our stay. The staff were run off their feet and could not find time to friendly |

Full English Breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable. The hot water was scalding and couldn't get the cold water to work. I thought it was on the river and it was some 400-500 yds inland from the river. The room was small. |

Location was close to city centre and staff were helpful. Photos gave a misleading image of the hotel as being modern, this was not the case. The bar was just a lifeless cellar, unstaffed and unstocked. Really dissapointed. |

The hotel was comfortable and clean with plenty of space and in a great location for exploring the city of york. Breakfast could of been better and the coffee was served from a flask which didn't give it the best taste or keep it warm. |

It was a good value, and the location was fairly convenient to the city centre. The phone in the room did not work, so we could not call the front desk to ask how to use the shower. Parking was incredibly tight. |
