Staff. Quality of food.
Slightly shabby in places. A bath with 2 holes in it other than the plug hole should be replaced.
Great value but the staff really make the stay great. Friendly, helpful and warm.
Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious! Wished we had stayed longer as it was one of our favorite places.
the location is good
Long wait at check in as receptionist took call after call. being left to wander through corridors to find a well hidden room toilet didn't flush for the entire duration of our stay and when reported to reception we were told it was an old hotel with old plumbing (even though we were in the new part of the building) and it was clear that it wasn't going to flush. the shower varied between scalding hot and cold our room had a bad smell the restaurant staff were good and the soup i had was very good but the sandwiches I ordered were distinctly tired and half-way through eating them, i found the bread was mouldy! when I wrote to the hotel management about these issues, I received no reply.
Location, very helpful friendly staff, room very clean, hope to return sometime
the room, the food and the staff were all excellent
Friendly staff and excellent surroundings
Shower was low flow
Large room, warm and comfortable with complete facilities. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Really good value for money
A bit far from town
Every things was exelent..!!
The room was spacious with a wonderful veranda and view of the mountains! Staff were fantastic and the food was also top notch!
Booked through your site. Very easy. Considered the twin at Aviemore YH. £150 for 3 nights NO breakfast. 3 nights at the Boat with breakfast £162 no contest. The hotel was great, good location for all the walks my son and I did. Friendly staff.
Hotel was great, the room was large and clean and heating was excellent. Breakfast was amazing and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It is also in a great area and amazing starting point for lots of exploring, hikes and everything in the Cairngorns. Definitely recommended, expecially if you catch some of their great offers.
Service - staff was excellent and very attentive. Comfortable accommodation. Great location.
Dinner menu very meat-oriented; might be nice to have some vegetarian option (other than pasta).
Despite an unfortunate car accident on the Saturday, this was a fantastic, hotel. The staff were very accommodating, especially the reception staff. Hotel was clean, maintained and very comfortable. Could not recommend it enough!
Position of hotel. Warmth and comfort.
Shower didn't work in our room and cooked breakfast was barely warm. Also for £120 the decoration and carpet in the room was showing it's age. The price of drinks in the bar we thought excessively high.
EXCELLENT LOCATION FOR EXPLORING THE CAIRNGORMS.VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF. NICE ROOM,COMFORTABLE BED AND VERY GOOD CHOICE OF BREAKFAST.
Staff and room
Well expected food to be a bit different but mediocre what i mean good food but expected a better menu.
The setting and the tranquility
The breakfast is the best we have ever had.
The alcoholic drinks were a little expensive
the bed, the food the location
the weather, the sitting area
Great restaurant, comfy bed very warm room
Price of the alcohol
Fantastic staff, good food, very comfortable rooms.
Staff all very welcoming and cheerful - even first thing in the morning! Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Big coal fire on in the reception area makes for a warming welcome on a cold November's day. Very competitive off-peak rates.
There really isn't much I would mark this hotel down on as it is mostly excellent all-round, but the one area that could be improved is the price of the drinks in the bar. I don't pay £4.50 for a pint of beer in Edinburgh - the capital of Scotland, so I am confused why it's so expensive here. It didn't impact on me a great deal to be fair, but it did stop me spending money in the bar during my stay.
Near two major attractions Staff all approachable Clean Large Bedroom Coffee,Tea and Chocolate in bedroom well catered for. Very Strong wifi Breakfast 5* Evening meals very good Good local Real Ale Price I got for this visit
Car Park very full Saturday Night. Real Ale a bit pricey Hotel a bit tired in places especially stair carpet to rooms a bit threadbare. Shower only mains pressure. Bar a bit quite on Saturday night.
