In the New Forest National Park, The East End Arms is a charming traditional pub with modern bedrooms. It boasts real ales directly from casks, fresh local food, and free Wi-Fi.

With a swimming pool, spa and gym, this 4-star hotel is set in woodland between Southampton and Portsmouth. Its restaurant has an AA Rosette, and an outdoor terrace for summer.

This was our second visit & by chance were allocated the same room. The staff, again, were very friendly & extremely helpful. The food was excellant & our room was superb. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area.
Excellent room very spacious with comfortable separate seating area. Extremely large balcony over-looking the marina - need to return in the summer to make plenty of use of this. Just perfect for a lovely view, people watching, reading and sipping a cold glass of wine. Large bathroom with deep bath and powerful separate shower cubicle. Could do with a fridge to keep that wine cold. We will definitely return in the summer. Continental breakfast was excellent.
I think the bar area could be improved it didn't offer a relaxing atmosphere as it was close to the kitchen serving area and entrance to the hotel.
located within a lovely tranquil Marina Village on the outskirts of the New Forest Room had lovely view over river and of Southamptonl. It was spacious, very clean and furbished to a high standard. A good quality continental breakfast included.
We stayed on a Friday and was unaware of a Michael BubLe tribute that went on well past 11pm!
Cleanliness and space in bedroom
No comfortable seating area
Hythe Pier Train. The Hobbit Not in city centre, but easy to get there. Close to Black Forest. Free Parking
Didn't stay long enough to really use facility. Only had a continental breakfast in morning, so difficult to judge. Lift only goes to first floor.
Free wi-fi and free parking. Hot shower, Staff friendly
You have to pay for cooked breakfast which I think this should be included in the price
This is a nice little hotel off the beat and track but still close to a lot of attractions and Southampton proper. The Ferry Ride across from Southampton is great and inexpensive and fun. There are a few nice pubs in the area and some nice shops as well. But mostly just a quiet little town. We spent three days there while sightseeing and waiting to board ship for a cruise. Hotel overlooks a private marina with a lot of nice boats.
Soundproofing of rooms could be better. WIFI did not work in the dinning room.
The staff really made our staff at The Boathouse - so attentive and friendly! The food at the restaurant was delicious.
The only niggle was the poor wifi connection, struggled to get connected and then stay connected, but wasn't such an issue!
Location Room Size Cleanliness Super fast WiFi Friendly staff Good food Overall comfort
Nothing at all!
Never stayed here before. Staff Friendly and rooms are so clean. Would definitely stay again.
Everything about our stay was excellent. Staff brilliant - they asked the chef to stay half an hour til we got there late for food, which he did. Food was excellent - all clean plates!! Accommodation clean, bright, loads of fluffy towels, good bathroom toiletries. Views splendid. Fantastic all round. - Thank you
only one point - the hairdryer was a bit awkward to use as it didn't have a very long lead - what a very minor point though!!
The area and position of the Boathouse, the rooms were very nice and very clean, the staff were very friendly, especially when we arrived.
There was an unpleasant smell of food hanging around the bar area which we found off putting so much, so we ate in another restaurant, we were disappointed because the menu sounded really good also feel a full english should be included in the price per night.
Excellent large rooms with all facilities you need and Spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good.
We loved to view from our room, the food, the service was brilliant, the standard of the room was exceeded expectations. Will definately be coming back.
I think the price was slightly steep
Location Comfort Bed
Too hot to sleep
We stayed here for three nights in Room No 10, a very large and comfortable family room at the top of the hotel. Two kingsize beds with one tucked around the corner for privacy. Two small sofas and plentyof wardrobe and storage space. Fantastic views of the marina, Hythe pier and the cruise ships every night. A great location for visiting the New Forest. The restaurant was good although a limited menu - try the Italian opposite for a better selection of meals. Overall I would definitley recommend this hotel.
The lighting does need to be improved in the room - the addition of a lamp by the sofas would enable guests to sit and read at night.
This is a small, friendly, owner managed hotel. The rooms are modern and some have views of the upmarket marina and Southampton water. The food is excellent and nothing is too much effort for the staff. We have stayed three times and would thoroughly recommend it for anyone wishing a modern small hotel that does not feel like most modern hotels.
Perhaps the outside terrace sitting area needs a water-blast, the chairs and tables need to be continually and properly cleaned and some plants and table decorations would help. As the terrace has lovely views it is a Shane that it is not up to the standard of the interior.
Limited menue choice.
food was very good and so tasty!
The location and ambience
The size of our bed was brillant as my partner is over six foot. The cleanliness is good ,actually the overall experince was good .
My partner isnt very keen on continental breakfasts but you get charged extra for this service if you would like a cooked breakfast.
Loved the location and have booked to go back next year. Weren't happy with the Sunday breakfast, but this was rectified very quickly by the staff and also reflected in the final bill.
Smell from the restaurant wafting up the staircase needs to be looked at and considered. The sloping ceiling around the dorma window in the room needs to be painted a different colour as it could cause a few head bumps. These are small issues and really enjoyed our stay.
Perfect location and the room was amazing! The view was gorgeous and the staff were friendly! Would recommend this place it's worth the money
The only negative thing I can think of was the room was too hot through the night.
Very nice room which was of a high standard and very clean. Staff, quality of restaurant and bar were excellent. Great location and look forward to a return visit.
Really can't think of anything we didn't like about our stay.
